I liked what I saw for sure. Guy just looks like an NBA player.

Okay yeah, decent game for the 2nd one of the season. I didn't like getting up by 16 and then taking out the guys who helped you get that lead. Sully and Thomas came back in after sitting out and Florida goes on a 7-0 run to cut the lead. Why sub at that time when you are rolling?

Stupid plays/shots down the stretch as Sullinger never got the ball at all.

It's a win over a good team and a well coached team so can't complain too much. We can play better though.

Not a very good ending, but I'll take it.

Its hard to adjust to not being able to just kick it to Diebler for a bailout three like he did all last year. Hopefully this team will grow exponentially throughout the season.

BTW: I'm not liking the idea of our good freshmen not getting any court time. Scott got 3 minutes. Nothing for the rest. Matta does not like the bench. He played 7 tonight. ZERO freshmen. I don't like it. This will bite us down the stretch. We already know we have tons of talent that should be getting experience and could help us.

Siebert doesn't work for me. Sorry.

You shouldn't expect to see Shannon Scott out there much because the idea of him guarding 2's is not ideal right now, but I guess we would have just thrown him on Boyton. I was surprised that Sam Thompson got no run though.

When LaQuinton Ross is available in December, I expect him to get good playing time. We're going to need his outside scoring.

I was impressed with Beal. Went in thinking hed be one dimensional, but he has a beautiful stroke AND he had a couple nice plays in the lane. Some nice defensive plays too.

I'd like to folow him more closely this year. What's the deal with Boynton? He looked terrific.

    He's a gunner, doesn't pass much.

Beal looked legit. Its not like he was playing florida atlantic here: he was going against one of the best teams in the nation and one of the best defensive teams as well. Not bad for a coming out party.

Boynton makes the nba if a team falls in love with his defense...which someone may very well do

Ross can start up in December? Yes. He should get time. Lots of it I would hope. I hope we can get Williams time as well. We will need more rebounding in the big ten than what simply Sullinger, thomas, and Ravenal/Buford can give us. We need more big bodies ready to go.

Matta has lots of depth this year. Will he make use of it though?

    On Paper...maybe?

Yeah, though some of it is still young: Ravenel, Scott, and Sibert should* be able to play 15-20 minutes a night.

He's undoubtedly got the body of an NBA All Star. The million dollar question is if his game will ever grow to match up to his physical skills.

I know this won't be a popular opinion, but the more I see of Sullinger, the more I think he's incredibly overrated.

He supposedly lost fat over the offseason yet is more unathletic as ever.
