Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Actually, I think Kanter's performance has to make Utah feel better about the pick. He snared 11 rebounds in limited minutes. This is a guy that has not played organized basket ball in over a year, so imy mind he was the biggest high draft risk. Very easily could wind up underperforming Darko and Kwame... If he can show up and rebound hard from the get go, then he could prove useful.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit - Aristotle as quoted by Shaq..

Yeah, that's what stood out to me (getting stuffed at the rim multiple times). He didn't seem to show any of the offensive game we were expecting to see. I noticed the rebounds in the box score, so, yeah that's a positive sign. I didn't comment on any of that because it was just one game - but he did look surprisingly short .vs. Gasol.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
I'm really liking this Indiana team. I think maybe having them as a 6 seed was a little low. They have a very Memphis like roster. Just well rounded from top to bottom. And they are especially dangerous if Paul George can be as good as he looks like he can be...and if Danny Granger doesn't eff it up.
Patiently waiting for the day I can finally say "Daniel Gibson is no longer a Cavalier." It will be glorious.

Cats with a chance to win it here, or push it to OT.

Re: NBA Regular season games thread
Barring injury, the Heat are most likely going to be the best team in the NBA in the regular season. The playoffs bring more half-court basketball, so it will be interesting to see what happens. I think New York, Chicago, and even Boston have the ammunition to take them out in the playoffs. Hopefully one of them does, or Wade tears his ACL...either/or...
