Sam Amico:
In case you missed it ... Lakers likely to "accelerate" pursuit of Cavs' Ramon Sessions over All-Star break, says Western Conference source.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
Well in the process of building a championship team you might not want to waste opportunities, even if it's 10 minutes a night, to evaluate or develop players who may be able to help the team long term. I'm not saying Uzoh is that guy but why stop the search for a quality backup guard? Who backs up Kyrie DOES matter, to an extent for the well being and development and identity of the team.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
One other thing to keep in mind. When Kyrie's on the floor he's not always playing PG. Because of his size, shooting ability, and the system Scott runs, we'll see Kyrie play SG at different points in games as long as Scott is the coach. In other words, you don't have to account for 10 minutes a game for a back-up, but at least 14-18 min or more depending on the lineups and match-ups in any given game. Everyone should know by know that Scott likes to play multiple PG's at the same time and usually carries three on the roster. He's done it his entire coaching career.

Great. I bet LA gives Minnesota both first round picks for Beasley and we get stuck with Sessions.via espn insider
Lakers eye Beasley? 8:18 AM ET Michael Beasley | Timberwolves TopEmailComments 4
UPDATE: Charley Walters of Pioneer Press has had it confirmed that the Lakers do have interest in Michael Beasley.
The Wolves would probably prefer a pick over a player in return and that's something the Lakers could offer as they own two 2012 first round picks -- their own and the Mavericks.
Walters reports other teams have expressed interest in Beasley, too.
"I just play basketball, and if that happens, it happens, and I still play basketball," Beasley said. "For now, I'm a Timberwolf. I love my team and my coaches. If it's time for me to go, I have no control over that. I'm just playing the game and keeping my mouth shut."

I would do metta and 2 firsts for Sessions and Hollins. Buy out metta and move along.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
With rumors of a 3 team deal between the Lakers, Raptors, and Magic, I feel that our window to trade Sessions for a 1st is rapidly shrinking. We need to pull a trigger somewhere now.

Hit the pause button and step back from the ledge. This is your first trade deadline on this site I'm assuming. Things are way, way too early yet. The NBA is in entering smokescreen mode now and it's going to get worse. There was also another report where the Magic were not interested in Bynum.
Everybody has agendas this time of the year.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
If we trade Sessions for Marvin Williams instead of a 1st round pick...I will not be pleased.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
What about this?
Cavs get: Williams, Atl 2012 1st
Hawks get: Sessions, NOH 2nd, CLE 2nd
Seems to make a lot of sense to me. Fills positional needs for both teams and the Cavs move up what will probably amount to 12-15 spots in the draft for getting ATL under the luxury tax line and for getting them a starting PG. Cavs aren't going to use both of those 2nd rounders anyway, so we might as well package them together to get another 1st.

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
I don't know if this has already been floated, but:
Step 1 : Trade Antawn and Sessions to L.A. for Luke Walton, Steve Blake, Josh Mcroberts and the two firsts. Sessions absorbed by their exception and all the Lakers bench chumps match Jamison.
Step 2 : Ascend to tank heaven"This time I ain't going to have no limits." - Leon Powe

Re: Potential destinations for Ramon Sessions
Marvin Williams is not good, do we really want Larry Hughes 2.0?
