Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)
I'd love for Manny to find the floor here in these last 25 games to see if there is anything of merit or longterm we could use from him as a player. You can see he's got some skills to score one on one, which a lot of our two guards CLEARLY don't possess right now.
Most likely though, IF he sniffs the floor it shall be for minutes in the 14 to 13 minute range. Someone needs to kick AP in the back so that we'll get a flare up again.....Sometimes madness is the best kind of logic

Re: Manny Harris to be signed again (Kapono to be waived)
Something has to give. We might have beaten the Hawks if the second unit could have kept us in the game at the start of the 4th quarter. Either Gibson and Parker will need to step up, or we're going to need to insert Harris and/or Sloan to help that group create some offense.

We'll see. I don't make up my mind about a new rotation after just one game, and most coaches don't either; be we all know why Harris and Sloan are there.

Well, I think it is obvious Manny isn't getting time so we can lose more games.

Re: Manny Harris
Hey...Manny got some floor time tonite. A somewhat ragged performance but he had 11 pts, 6 rebs and 1 ast. Showed enough to warrant another look, I'd say.
Twan wasn't exactly Robert Horry tonite. Missed a couple of big shots in OT. It's all on Kyrie's shoulders at age 19. If he doesn't get it done, it ain't getting done. As we move forward, Cavs will need to get another credible option. Kyrie can't be a miracle worker every night. Cavs played with heart, though. Young teams have to go through this kind of adversity to grow. The little things can kill you in close games. A turnover, a missed free throw, a bad shot, a missed defensive assignment...any or all can be the difference between winning or losing.
Love the effort as the Cavs are much easier to watch than they were last season.

Re: Manny Harris
I just like Manny's speed, and his finishing seems to be much improved. He did not seem to have much trouble scoring on an athletic team today. His length is very good, and I did not seem him get pushed around like one might think due to his thin frame. His defense, especially help and recovery has got to get him some minutes I think.

Re: Manny Harris
Manny played great, just about as well as you could realistically ask him to.
I still cringe when I look at his ankles. It looks like they would break if he makes a hard cut.i like jorts

Re: Manny Harris
Manny needs to play like a man possessed (particularly on the defensive side) if he hopes to stick. We are drafting four guys this year, and I guarantee you one of those will be a two, and one will be a three. Gee has earned his minutes at either position. Time for Manny to step it up.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit - Aristotle as quoted by Shaq..

Re: Manny Harris
Manny has to bring it defensively to impress and allow for a role within this team. We know he can be at times a capable scorer AND he can defend. He just has to approach the defensive side of the court with more consistent effort.
It was nice seeing him out on the floor last night and i hope Coach Scott continues to toss him out there. I would've preferred to see him playing during OT versus AP...but hey, i can't hope for Byron to do that to his pal Parker.Sometimes madness is the best kind of logic

Re: Manny Harris
I hope Manny can develop some shooting coming off screens. He seems to have a very good mid range game. I see him as a Rip Hamilton lite type of a player.
When in doubt, step up the defense

Re: Manny Harris
Manny can't even get on the floor over Sloan and Hudson. He's dead man walking right now. He's gone at the end of the year.

Re: Manny Harris
This whole situation is baffling.
If Manny is good enough to play, but isn't, he wouldn't keep re-signing with us to just continue to ride the pine.
On the flip side, if he's not good enough, why do we keep bring him back?
Why is Manny on this team?

Re: Manny Harris
Manny is invaluable to the tank. He is the one inside the tank, fueling its engines with tanking coal.
