Yea, he took a step back - only he was standing with his back to a cliff. There has to be talk within the cavs of letting him go and bringing back Manny.

Rough rookie night for Big Trajan but at least he had about 5 more FGAs than the typical Kedrick Brown game.

It would make a lot of business sense to waive Mychel Thompson by Feb. 10th so his contract is not guaranteed. Even if he offers some help, it's just a better idea to remain flexible with the bottom of the roster. I fully expect him to be waived and Manny Harris or some other shooting guard to be picked up at that time. Doesn't mean they couldn't bring Thompson back for some 10 day contracts after he has been out the required amount of time, but it makes little sense to allow him to become guaranteed money unless they have a trade in the works and they need his contract for filler.

@PDcavsinsider: #Cavs to waive Mychel Thompson. Move provides roster flexibility.

    Case closed.

Let's not forget that this also opens up the ability to take on more players in trades.

Hope they sign MT to the Charge like they did with Harris.

Good news...Havent been a fan of this guy at all. Didnt show anything that would indicate that he is a better player then Harris.

I believe we're still allowed to offer 2 10-day contracts to a player, so we can take plenty of looks at Manny, Thompson, or whoever without sacrificing trade flexibility.

I think the big things he had going for him were feet that were not burned and a well connected Dad.
