Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
So, now you're playing the semantics game? His cooperation and attitude got him out of it. Doesn't change the fact that he threw a guy through a window and had to be pepper sprayed to be controlled. Your argument is just that, an argument for the sake of arguing. There is no reason to go any further into this. We don't even know what Dennard will eventually be found guilty of.
I'm right, you're wrong. You're crazy if you don't agree.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
I'm bored. Someone make up a rumor about the Browns at 4 or 22 or moving down to take David DeCastro or moving up to take Dontari Poe. Anything besides Brandon Weeden or b00bie getting into ridiculous arguments.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
Speaking of Poe, am I the only one that doesn't see why he is a projected first round pick? He was not very productive in college, just didn't look like he was very interested in playing. He seems like a freak athlete from what he showed at the combine, but where were the results on the field?

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
Regarding the 4th pick, lets look at what the Browns did in FA or rather, what they didn't do.
They didn't resign Peyton Hillis and he was signed to a minor contract. Do you really believe the Browns are confident throwing Hardesty and Jackson out there? The Browns have to add a RB. The Browns settled on Richardson long ago in FA.
The Tannehill talk is an attempt to get someone to trade up to 3. The Claiborne talk at Heckert's presser may even be to get the Vikings to take Claiborne and for the Bucs to not trade up for Richardson. The Browns aren't scrambling to figure out who to pick. Richardson was and will be the pick.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
Holmgren had Dorsey Levens run for 1435 yards in 1997, the year he won a super bowl. Shaun Alexander led his Seahawks to the Superbowl. Childress coached Adrian Peterson. Shurmur had Steven Jackson for a year. Not only do the Browns coaches like running backs, they love big physical backs but they didn't resign Hillis.
Regarding the two studs, it makes little sense to have two thunder backs. You need some lightning. I think the Browns chose Richardson to be their thunder instead of Hillis.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread
There has been almost no talk of Nick Foles on this board. What are your thoughts on him? He's going to be available in the 3rd or 4th round. He has prototypical size for the position. Good but not elite arm strength, 2-1 TD to INT ratio over 3 full years as a starter. Well above 60% passer in a big time conference (PAC10/12). Team leader, film rat.
The knocks on him are that he's slow. Poor mobility will cause him to take a lot of sacks and obviously won't allow him to extend plays. Arizona lost as a lot of games while he was there. He played a lot out of the shotgun vs under center.
What are the other knocks that make him a 3-4th round prospect vs. a 1-2?
I'm not into Tannehill anywhere before 22, I like Weeden but I can justified why we would go other positions. I do not like Cousins at all. Osweiler isn't all that great in my opinion. I have liked Foles for a while now and if we are going to pass on Weeden, he'd be the guy I'd target followed by Osweiler and Cousins.Last edited by Phills14; 04-22-2012 at 09:16 PM.
