Yes, I remember that from last year. It's a shame that Utah owns Golden State's pick this year. They'd have to give up a future first if at all. Andris Biedrins and Kwame Brown works for Jamison. But a future pick for the two years left on Biedrins salary ($18M) and the fact that he has regressed so badly makes me hesitant to touch that. Biedrins and Klay Thompson also works, but again...yeessh.

A move involving Biedrins is possible because Golden state burned their amnesty already on Charlie Bell.

The first look was about cap space. this one is about need with one or two cap related moves. so 4 very unlikely but potential destinations for antawn

Atlanta 1. Josh Smith 2. vladimir radmonvic . Trade pieces - Marvin Williams, own pick, 2nd rd own + houston

Atlanta as a trade partner is not to out of bounds. potential pieces to the trade could involve Gee , Ramon Sessions and Erden or hollins. Atlanta without alot of depth has the flexibility of moving johnson to the three maybe even experimenting with smith at the three. along with wilie green and eventually a healthy al horford Hawks could certainly use some fresh blood and guys who work hard. Jamison would be a good addition to the bench and possibly allow a healthy horford to play pf with the absence of williams.


Boston,Chicago, Denver, Indiana,clippers, Lakers,Milwaukee ,Knicks, Magic , Philly, - Just dont see it.

Dallas - seems to have more pressing needs at point guard. If they have move laamar or marion then they might be interested in jamison but their own first pick could potentilly goto the lakers so not much there

Golden State 1. David Lee 2. Dominic Mcguire Jamison can add to their depth. Gs would love to move Biedrins. Cavs could take him and buy out his option if they need to clear cap space after a year. Golden states first round though is ear marked for utah out of protection. i dont see golden state giving up an unprotected pick though. Although if GS could also offer up ellis if sessions is thrown in the deal gs could move curry to the 2. if golden state frees up 20 million they might be able to find them a big man . I think GS keep what they got and look for a young big man via trade.. Im sure the cavs would have to throw some picks in

Memphis -1 Mareese Speights 2 Dante Cunningham sigh I suppose OJ mayo would be potential here.. Memphis would be a good trading partner for the cavs. they arent keeping a couple players. they could use some temporary depth at pf but I would think they would be more interested in ramon.

This was the most criminal performance of Jamison's career. Not only did he miss damn near every shot he took, but he slapped 5 balls away from his teammates fingers. He is so weak that he can't fully get the rebound but he still slaps at it and the ball ends up in the hands of the opposition. This team will be infinitely more fun to watch when his sorry ass is gone. Quite possibly one of the worst players in the league, definitely THE worst to watch play this game.

Yet another sorry performance by "one of the worst players in the league" scoring 33 points and singlehandedly keeping his team in the game for three quarters. Interesting that until this post there is no mention of this performance from any of those who are quick to quick to post critically any time he even makes a bad play.

9. After watching Jamison in games like the ones against the Nuggets, Washington (30 points), Detroit (32) and Milwaukee (34), I’m not sure why most fans seem to be in a major rush to trade him. It’s hard to envision the Cavs receiving anyone or anything of equal value in return. That’s not to say Jamison is little more than a scorer -- but he’s a scorer this year’s team drastically needs. Drastically.

Just got that from wuck's trade deadline thread. I hope that update ends up being wrong in every way imaginable. I mean, come on! "I can't imagine why most fans are in a rush to trade Jamison"? And how are we going to take on salary in trades after this season when we have no good expirings after Jamison to work with after this season?

If we can't find a deal for him he needs to be bought out. A vet PF averaging close to 20 and 7 must have spme value around the league. Only thing keeping him here would be Scott as he wants the best team possible. But its Gilbert who's in charge so hopefully he's looking to the draft...

Antawn scoring will be missed if he is dealt and the games could get ugly like last season unless another high volume scorer is brought in. We have to give the man credit for his play the last couple of games. He fills a much needed role but that is short term thinking ( ala this season only ).

You don't just buy him out. If you can get something of value for him in a trade, okay. He's our only legit veteran left (AP doesn't offer enough in this aspect). I know Kyrie's mature beyond his age, but we know what can happen on a team with no legit veteran players (Wizards). You have to have, not just a coach, but a player to turn to (not just to score, but for social reinforcement, for lack of a better term), when things aren't going well. Veteran's like Jamison don't get rattled very often. They put their head down and keep going. Young guys need to see that. This is all being said assuming Andy isn't coming back any time soon.

I don't like the Wizards comparison because it's apples and oranges. No, apples and bananas. Our management has shown that they are interested in high-character guys from the get-go, and we have Byron Scott as a coach who is a much better manager of a rebuilding, young team than Flip Saunders is.
