Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
So how does the picks play out? Does it go like this: Cavs get Lakers 2012 pick AND the rights to swap next year? Or is it just one or the other?

Also, 4 picks in the top 40 gives the Cavs a great opportunity to target a player or two.

Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
What the crap....... pissed we still have Jamison. WTF- this and the trade exception from the beginning of the year down the tubes for nothing.
Who's our backup PG?!?!?!?!?
WHY DO I HAVE TO KEEP WATCHING HOLLINS AND HARANGODY!?!?!??!!??!?
(That's it I'm done complaining.)
Love the Sessions trade though. Hate Walton and Kapono but whatever- just cut them.Adonis Thomas 2013!
Just win.

Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
Grant talking now...
We get Lakers pick in the 2012 draft but it's lottery protected. If the Lakers don't make the playoffs this year, then instead we would get the Lakers pick in 2014 (again, lottery protected).
We also have the right to swap our least favorable pick in the 2013 draft with the Lakers 2013 draft pick (in other words, we can swap the Miami pick with the Lakers pick at our discretion).

Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
That Okafor deal was made up. No substance to it. The New Orleans conversations were about Eric Gordon.
I also love this trade even more now that the Cavs can move their Miami pick up next year potentially. Going from 26-30 to 18-22 could be huge.

Loving clowns like Mannix and Ford saying we got fleeced for a guy who was long gone next year. By the way, Walton's salary next year would have gone to who exactly? Eric Gordon right? Yeahhhh...

Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
Neither Walton nor Kapono could get minutes for a team with one of the weakest benches in the NBA.

Re: Cavs Trade Deadline (discussion)
Bummed we still have AJ just because he is winning us games that we shouldn't be winning. I figured he'd still be here, but disappointed regardless. I was hoping for more for Sessions, but I knew this was the best we could get out of him, so I approve of the deal.
This swapping thing with the Heat pick makes it even better. Miami will most likely be better than the Lakers, so it will help us, even if it only moves the pick up a few spots (better than nothing).

Harangody now has a mentor: Walton.
