Computer Problem
Out of nowhere my wireless mouse froze on my second monitor. About 10 seconds later, both monitors shut off. The cpu shows the power light is on and the fan is blowing.
I tried rebooting and detaching the monitors and plugging back in. Same thing. Batteries should on mouse should be fine. It gives a blinking notification if running out.
None of that fixed anything.
When i hit the power button on the front of the cpu nothing happens.
Any advice?Last edited by JiggleIt; 03-11-2012 at 01:32 PM.
How about a quick simile: Watching the Browns from '99-'12 is like waiting for someone to finish shitting when you've gotta go piss real bad. Now imagine waiting on a 12 year shit...

Did the motherboard beep on reboot?
Always make sure to dust your machine and the air vents with compressed air regularly. Dust build-up can cause interference in VGA signals/connections which can cause your monitors to not work.

Re: Computer Problem
Don't feel bad Jigo. Last night my video card just randomly crashed, was idling at like 50 degrees Celsius and all I was doing was streaming to my ps3. Screen went blank, lost my transparancy on my taskbar/top bar. Nothing identified as crashed. Nothing showed up in window event logs either. A reboot cleared it up and it hasn't acted up again though.
Thank god for a 3 year warranty on this video card tho. Please draft Alex "What if Paul Pierce were a 7'1 white center?" Len
Don't care how Grant, just make the shit happen.

Re: Computer Problem
I'll piggy back here...
My work laptop just contracted some Malware. Here is the write-up about it: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/viru...e-system-check
Unfortunately, when I start in Safe Mode (per instructions half way down the window), there are still no programs - start menu is completely empty (except Log Off and Shut Down).
Any ideas on how to fix? I'm planning on dealing with my IT dept in the morning, but I'm remote (work out of home). So I can't just drop it off and let them deal with it.
