It's not about just practicing 5,000 shots, if you're doing it wrong you're just practicing doing something wrong, which is why coachibility is so important, he's willing to make amends to what he's doing and stick to them. Imagine if Shaq actually did Rick Berry's underhand free throw method that he made 80% in practice, but refuse to use it cause well, it looks bad.
