Re: R.I.P. Chardon.. in memory..
Did you really just compare The Man Called X (a person I'm pretty sure the moderators have a good amount of information on) allegedly making an idle threat to hack Chardon's computer to someone messing with your daughter? Is that what just happened?

This thread has officially "jumped the shark"...

Valid point. I thought most people had realized this is all schtick.

So we all know Chardon has another account now. Reddit can only take up so much time of your life.

Re: R.I.P. Chardon.. in memory..
I believe both of them were jokes by the way, I just don't think it makes anyone feel comfortable when someone makes a threat, joking or not, about your security in the real world. Do I believe I have an RCF stalker that's watching my daughter? No. Do I believe X was going to hack Chardon and steal his identity, because you know college kids have all sorts of built up credit and equity you can get in on? No.
Do I think either threats are funny? Nope to that one too.
I don't know if you realized that both of these happened from RCF so it's not like I'm talking about some stranger in a white van cruising my neighborhood here.Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the dicks touch real gay. Penis Sli-i-i-ime.

Re: R.I.P. Chardon.. in memory..
So, regardless of the "threat" of your computer being hacked, what is your SS# doing being stored somewhere on your computer instead of, you know... the little blue card it comes on?

Re: R.I.P. Chardon.. in memory..
Yeah they can.. I went over on how this would be possible (and happens, often) in detail in another thread.
EDIT: Symantec released a survey gathered by cracking several different script-kiddie botnets that showed that estimated 40% of computer users have banking information ranging from checking account numbers, online banking logins, and credit card info stored in plain text on their computers.

Re: R.I.P. Chardon.. in memory..
cant you just install a keylogger remotely? or send a packet or whatever for them to download? or run a scavenger hunt password thing and find a password and go to a commonly used website that requires the storage of your social like an online banking account?
btw, this thread is about to hit the 4 page mark, yall should be embarassed...
