No, I'm hating because he legitimately tried to hurt someone else. Even at regular speed it looks bad -- if anything, it looks worse.

Being in the heat of the moment doesn't defend it, either.

I'm surprised the NBA is so lenient on clear cut headcases such as Ron Artest(fuck that MWP shit, I refuse to call him that). What more does a guy have to do to be kicked out the league for good? Playing in the NBA is a privilege that Artest has taken for granted time and time again. The guy went into the fucking stands and fought with fans for christs sake.


A seven game suspension is laughable for such a vicious act(an elbow to the temple can fucking kill you). I know he didn't hit him in the temple, but he very well could have. This guy shouldn't be allowed to step on an NBA court again.

I thought it would be 5-10 games myself. He never did actually look at harden's head and line it up so he wasn't head hunting. It was totally reckless to swing an elbow like that and I think the punishment fits the crime since Harden is day to day now.

I saw Harden slide over into Artest with his arms up, knowing he was going to get ran into and I see Artest wildly swing his arm and hit his head. I'm not arguing that he didn't mean to hit him, but I highly doubt he was trying to kill him with a vicious shot to the temple.

harden bumped into artest but was clearly looking to receive the inbound, players do that all the time in the game unconsciously because it is a contact sport. however the "wildly" swung elbow was clearly intentional. look at the video again, artest hesitates for one moment and closes his eyes before he throws the elbow because he was preparing for contact.

If I ever become world president I will pass this law. I will pass that law right after I pass the law that states any woman over the age of 18 and defined by the average man to be beautiful caught wearing clothes in public will be publicly spanked. God i'd make a great world president.

Edit: And before the woman gets spanked after she is caught wearing clothes there will be a public vote if she is considered beautiful or not. If there are enough "I'd do her's" coming from the crowd then she gets stripped and spanked.

That should be enough right there. He wound up his arm, closed his eyes, and swung his elbow full force at head level. If he didn't know that would hit Harden in the head, then he's even dumber than I originally thought.

That bullshit about him not seeing Harden, is just that(bullshit). He and Harden bumped into each other, THEN he winds up and swings the elbow. You mean to tell me he didn't know someone was next to him after he just bumped into the guy?

It's not like this is Artests first rodeo either. I could see giving him a pass if he didn't have a history of being bat shit crazy, but we all know different.

This is just after they bump into each other. You would think his arm might rebound a bit off Hardens head, but it looks like he's driving his arm through the contact.
