No, I went with a friend. I should have taken IGWT though.

Re: Advanced Screening for The Avengers
Thinking about seeing this tonight
Is it worth spending the extra bucks to see it in 3D?

No! I've come to terms that James Cameron is the 3D master. There is NOTHING 3D about it. I can say there was probably 1-2x in which I assumed it was 3D, but was must likely the cameras approach/angle.
Avatar is the only movie I've seen that was done phenomenally in 3D.Your body is my ballpoint pen, and your mind is my new best friend.

Re: Advanced Screening for The Avengers
Agreed. Avatars 3D was amazing. The avengers 3D was well done, but it was so subtle I forgot about it half the time. Its not bad at all, just prob not worth the extra 3 bucks.
Hobbit in 3D will prob be good. Jackson's using a lot of the same techniques as Cameron, and they're actually shooting it in 3D not converting.

Re: Advanced Screening for The Avengers
I heard from IGN.com that there was an advanced trailer screening of The Hobbit for a lucky few and they came out thinking the way the movie is shot is horrible. They say it looks like one of those English SyFy programs like Dr.Who and doesn't feel like the first three at all, doesn't have the same "magic". I think they are shooting it at a higher resolution or something that gives it the wrong feel. We'll see.

Pootie has a really nerdy personality. She's like the hot chick that doesn't realize she's hot.
