Default Best wireless router for under $100?

Reaching the point where my current wireless router is no good... sometimes it recognizes a connection and sometimes it doesn't (all devices). I was looking on bestbuy.com for the best one under $100... any advice?

Things Dave K was right about:

    Dion Waiters will be good
    Anthony Bennett will be good
Mike Brown will be a fucking idiot, again
    The board sucks without DaveK

And thats practically all. Wrong about almost everything else

I have an Asus RT-N12. It was 40 bucks and its great. If you're really looking to get a 100 dollar router go for the Asus RT-N16. You can plug an external harddrive via usb and use it as network storage, or stream from it using DLNA.

Don't buy from best buy. Buy from Newegg by the way. Id recommend a router you can throw a linux firm ware on. I use Tomato, but DD-WRT is fine also... just a little more complex.

Bump-not buying from Best Buy. With so many great websites these days i have never ever considered buying from Best Buy. Seriously, in my opinion you can usually never go wrong with Amazon. The reviews are usually pretty accurate and honest.

I bought a netgear 54mps one at a garage sale. It was three years ago, and it cost me 10 bucks. I have seen newer models at Staples, that looked like mine for 30 bucks. The new ones are probably faster, but mine is fast enough for netflix and COD type games.

I use a Belkin N750 and haven't had any problems with it. It was about $80 bux when I bought it. No clue what it would be now.
Why am I not allowed to have a center?

Top ten reviews is a great source of info for these kind of questions. I just used it, got the Linksys E1200 for $45 bucks, and it's great. And fast.

E1200 is just an N300. And I'm not a particular fan of Linksys.

My N750 has 2 USB ports for media share, which I use. For what I got, it was well worth what I paid for mine.

Agreed. Pretty much the rule of thumb is that if it's an Asus product it kicks some serious ass.

It is a better router, but it also costs twice as much. I've always had good experiences with Linksys, but obviously, those can vary. Linksys tends to be idiot-proof, which works well in my case.

Their firmware sucks donkey balls, but that's why they make it linux flashable. Their hardware + linux software let's you accomplish amazing things. I love being able to VPN into my home network and access anything.

For instance, my friend has cincy bell which doesn't have espn3. I have time Warner which does. So I let him VPN to my network... and boom, he has espn 3 access.
