Re: The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread
Yeah that was interesting. The end of AFFC was pretty interesting I thought in that it threw a new dynamic into the story, a new conspiracy to follow. Makes you wonder how Martin will tie all this shit up in two more books, but I think he can.
Well, TSS, just know that AFFC moves a lot slower. I'd almost say it is a different sort of book. Still superbly written, and I really enjoyed it, but it does take a while for things to pick up and become interesting.
I also agree with you on the Red Viper.
Another thing I've almost completely forgotten about and am really curious to see where it goes since its not at all mentioned in book 5:
AFFC Spoiler:
Anxious to hear what is happening with Sam and the Maesters and ahem... Maybe one of the Sandsnakes?

I seriously went on a binge where I read six-hundred pages to finish book three in like twenty-for hours and haven't really started book four since then. I know the way this series goes... Books take awhile to get started and characters get developed for the mid-game dunk. Only problem is it takes awhile to get there. Been craving it lately though so I will pick up book four in a few days and crawl into a space since I am a binge-reader.
