What's the point of that?
Buying and selling at the same time?
Royals would give up Francoeur for nothing, and we could get a lot for Choo.
Thats his point.

Better off starting Shelley Duncan in right...
I'm not a fan of getting Francoeur either, but I don't know about him being worse than Duncan.
Francoeur's OPS is .661, making Shelley Duncan look like Hank Aaron right now..
Not all of them, but just looking at the Mets top prospects they seem to be "ready" soon. Heres a list.By ML ready prospects are we talking about guys that can come in and make an impact on the team in the future, or guys who will play well enough to remain in major league baseball and that's about it?
I just hope the front office realizes that making trades to try to win this year is futile. They are an average to below average team, that's just the way it is. Being a seller is a better option than being a buyer this year.
What this team lacks is a spark. It's a shame we couldn't land Youk. I thought he could be that for us.
No way the Indians trade Choo or Perez this season, nor should they. I can understand not selling the farm to "go for it" this season. But the way this team is set up, they need to at least go for it 2013 and 2014. Choo and Jimenez are probably gone after 2013. Cabrera is probably gone after 2014. If they do wave the white flag this season, they should be looking to acquire ML ready players who can help them contend next season.
The Indians flat out missed the boat of Kevin Youkilis. According to Pluto, he would have cost Josh Tomlin. Josh freaking Tomlin. He would have been a perfect fit.
