Hey, if he's better than Kirilenko we did okay.
If he's better than AK47, we did great. Kirilenko was an 11 year vet in the league, one time all star, one time all defensive first team, two time all defensive second team, and multiple other accolades.
I think he's already better than Casspi.
He should be compared to Muhammad because either could have been had. I think given that, it's a bad pick and he'll likely be yet-another Euro stiff with no feel for the game. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. Shabazz was the move, not Karasav and Felix (sp?)...
And comparing him to Casspi completely misses the point of the draft. Was he the best we could do with what we had. I think the answer is clearly no. And I think I'll come back after we have yet-another quiet trade deadline and point that out.
Why do you keep saying Muhammed could have been had?
Clearly Marion was not willing to opt in before the draft and be traded to a losing team. Once that was out of the picture, Boston's offer to Dallas was Better than ours could have been.
Why do you keep saying Muhammed could have been had?
Don't think Marion opting in was relevant. And why does Boston's trade represent the maximum value the trade could have been. Point being is that if that's all it took, then we could have offered more.
Shabazz, a guy who thinks he is a #1 option and acts like it on the court, does not fit with Kyrie, Dion, and Bennett. I don't see Shabazz being the 4th option going over too well with him. Maybe I am too harsh on him, but I just think he is a dick. Once the age thing came out, I was done with him.
