Why did they move Andre? Ive always felt he was a starting caliber guard and probably should have been starting about half the yrs he has been coming off thw bench.
Again, this goes back to Pat Riley vs Dan Gilbert. Gilbert paid 400,000 to have a family guy cartoon made for LeBron that mocked Pat Riley's cheesy hair style.
Riley doesn't have to say a word, he simply drops on the table a ring clip, with 5 championship rings on it, and the sight says everything, no words needed, no promises needed.
Windy being away, has seen what clowns we have over here. Miami was Windy's first championship seen up close.
But please notice the differences in style between Riley and Gilbert. Riley says nothing and achieves everything. Gilbert talks a whole lot, and achieves absolutely nothing in basketball. Gilbert has maybe 1/16th of the basketball knowledge that Pat Riley has, yet Gilbert is the louder of the two mouths.
It's probably because Dan is successful in so many other areas, but this is one area where he has no expertise, only dollars. For a man who is willing to spend so much money, he should have been able to get a high-profile coach in here by now, 8-9 years later.
Nope, he falls for Mike Brown, again. He makes the same mistake twice. Ouch!
God, a kick square in the testicles would feel better than the feelings I'm feeling inside right now.
You really couldn't ask more of an owner, in terms of willingness to spend, but Dan has done nothing but get himself into trouble by opening his mouth when he should be quiet. The letter after the decision was warranted, James took advantage of Gilbert, and owed him at least a courtesy phone call. I can see why Dan was heated, but Gilbert's shenanigans carried on through the lottery, the season ticket holders meeting. He thought bringing Mike Brown back was going to bring back that winning culture, and that's simply not the case. Ever think that winning culture was because the best player in the world was on your team and he demanded winning?
We'll never give James the credit he deserves, and we'll also never give Brown the scrutiny he deserves, because it was James that brought him success.
Those were pretty great teams we had, but ultimately Mike Brown's lack of in-game awareness failed the Cavaliers organization long before LeBron quit in the Boston series of 2010.
Now Brown is the coach, again, and we're inevitably opening ourself up for James to tease us again.
The Cavs have made some very poor decisions since 2003, but the Heat haven't been all glitter and gold in Riley's reign either. It's so easy to look back and criticize but if you don't think there's 15-20 other fan bases out there that wouldn't love to have Gilbert as their owner, you're plain wrong.
It must be convenient to have "throwaway comments" in one's life.
Tell me sir, if you told your girlfriend that you PERSONALLY GUARANTEETHAT I WILL MARRY YOU, would she see it as "throwaway"?
