Week 3: Ravens at Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why??? Tank for picks... Clearly this is the same product. They fooled me for 3 quarters.

This is a playoff caliber team. It is early in the season still. We could easily be 0-3, but we are 1-2.

This is not the same product. This is a different product.

If we correct the mistakes early on during the season, watch out. We can be a .500 club this season and that would be a a good start for us considering the past seasons we've had.

In the first 3 games we've played 3 playoff caliber teams and lost two games by a combined 6 points. We have a bye week. The Steelers can lose tonight and be 1-2. Our next 5 games are winnable. It was a stretch to even expect this team to be 3-0 to start the season anyway. Yall need to step away from 480.

Were there any comments on why Crowell started the second half?

I'm not saying Cundiff is good, but we had a bad snap on the first one and a blown blocking assignment on the second. I'm more concerned about long snapping than place kicking. We almost lost a game last week because of a bad snap on a XP.

Yeah, our longsnapping is terrible to start out this season. You need the longsnapping to be perfect for a kicker as bad as Cundiff.

Cundiff is one of the best ever under 50 yards. We haven't had a clean snap all season. Why was Billy Wynn even blocking on the edge. Where was Barnidge or Dray? Tabor is for sure on the hot seat now. We could see some changes on Special Teams during this buy week.

Not blaming Cundiff for the block. Partially his fault on the one with the bad snap, but not sure I understand the hate?

Too many bad throws and dropped passes at the end. I really want to find the positives here, but the fact is... they should be sitting in good shape and they aren't. Hard to swallow, but I guess it'll be easier to look at tomorrow with a level head.

Overall just sad and disappointing. This team has no business not being 2-1 right now and in a place to win games.

Tanking is foolish at this point. Time to learn how to win. Hopefully they regroup and shit on Tennessee. This team should be 5-3 heading into the Thursday Night Football game in Cincinnati. Based on what we've seen, not going 4-1 against @TEN, vsPIT and then (against maybe the 3 worst teams in football back-to-back-back?) @JAX, vsOAK and vsTB.

6-10. Don't get fooled. No defense, no playoffs. Simple as that. Offense looks much better.

I think the new rules are having an effect on Haden. He was very handsy as it was, one of his best talents is his ability to be physical off the line of scrimmage and take the receiver where he wants him to go.

It'a part of what has made him so great. You will very often see him with his inside hand on the back of the wide receiver. One of his best tools is being taken away.

Most of the issues that we saw today were all mental mistakes. It is good to know that we are able to compete. Now if we can keep the coaching staff together and let the team and the staff grow I think we will become a Bengals like team. We need patience.

So after years of high picks on the front seven (Sheard, Taylor, Mingo, etc) and finding emerging diamonds in the rough, our front seven .... still sucks?

Pretty awesome. At this point I really have no idea how to turn this team around. If you address one spot, another glaring problem just pops up. At this point I think the best thing the doctor could order is consistency at 1) coaching and 2) quarterback. I'm talking for 4-5 years, at least. Not 1-2. The carousel is our biggest fucking problem and to be honest, as pissed as I was about this game today, being 1-2 and losing those two by a combined 5 points when going against 3 playoff caliber squads and implementing new schemes and systems on both sides of the ball for the 50th time this decade...isn't that bad. The Browns have looked like an actual team for once. But making that next step from mediocre (cleaning up penalties, getting talented enough to where penalties and missed FGs don't mean auto fails, etc) is the hard part.

I honestly don't have any suggestions for how to improve this team into that next echelon, besides keeping consistency at coaching and quarterback. \As far as drafting? I don't even know where to begin.

I understand this loss hurts, bit this is the 3rd game. A new coach and new system. Let's wait to the half way point till we go to negative.
