I like how Harris makes the most of the time he's on the court. When the Cavs switch on defense, which they're doing often, or when there's an offensive rebound, or when things are rough in transition, he always seems to pick up someone, even if it's someone 50 lbs heavier and 6 inches taller.
I don't think he's the answer to larger issues. He was getting torched by Avery Bradley in the first half, in part because the Cavs were conceding jump shots. And he's not fast enough to cover quick guards, like Rondo, even if he was asked to for part of that last play.
But he does his job, he gives an effort, and he doesn't get in the way. I love how he he's getting important minutes now since it will pay off later, no matter what the roster looks like. I don't see how he makes anyone expendable. Cavs are not all that deep. But it gives Blatt longer to figure out whether Miller will offer anything.
Great value for a 2nd-round pick, just like we all said when he was chosen.
