I don't even really like any of the QB candidates in this draft that much. That's why, even though I'm not a fan personally, I'm all for giving our first round draft pick the chance to start next year.
One thing I'm damn tired of, is this team just drafting a Quarterback, because they really need one. Not because they really like the guy they're drafting.
It doesn't seem like any of the QB's we've drafted, were guys the organization really, really wanted.
They were default guys. Sure, you can make that case I guess with any QB's that's not taken number one. But organizations typically don't view the guys they've drafted the same way that we do. They invest in them. We always have this one foot in, and one foot out the door mentality.
I just never got the feeling Johnny was a guy they were 100% sold on to begin with. He was a big name, exciting, could bring back some buzz to Cleveland. So I think they were more sold on that, than what he can actually do to help our team.
These are turning into wasted draft picks. I'm sick of it. If they don't like a QB on the board, stop drafting them.
