Good post, but your math is off, it's even worse. If they're $35M over the cap, their tax would be $108,750,000. If they were a repeater, the tax would be $143,750,000.

Since the Cavs are in the tax now, they're going to have to pray for big TV contracts and a huge redesign of the CBA, otherwise, this party could end quickly.
Thanks for catching that, I did the numbers right, just forgot to add the $23.75 million for the final $5 million of that.
We know Dan is not afraid to pony up some money, but $110 million and $145 million will be tough for even him to swallow.
Not turning this into a Love/Wiggins post, but a little something to chew on. Had we kept Wiggins, his salary would be $6 million in 2016-17, $22 million LESS than what Love's will be. The tax would be ~$30 million. $78 million less than what it will be with Love. Love's cost to Gilbert will be $100 million in 2016-2017 alone.
