It's a bad contract. It was when they signed it, now that money is tied up in a guy who won't see the court when he has his next season ending injury.
That's assuming at his age he even fully recovers from the Achilles, which is a big if.
Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that my entire post was true, and that we are not on the hook for 3 years/38 million.
Another truth is that even if Andy's contract disappeared right now, it wouldn't give us any additional flexibility because we're going to be over the cap and a luxury tax payer regardless. The only thing taking a real hit from Anderson's contract is Dan Gilbert's wallet, and he's still out there most likely re-signing the entire team AND attempting to use Haywood's contract to take on even more money and talent.
