Danny Green is a rare case. He’s a role-player in an ideal situation that’s lucky he found his way to the Spurs organization, because without Pop and his staff getting his head on straight, there’s a decent chance he’s not even in the league right now. In most instances, players don’t take hometown discounts until they’re well over 30, and certainly not when they hit free agency for the first time.Why does no player ever take a discount for Cleveland? Danny Green is gonna probably be paid less than Shump and he is way better on offense and a better defensive player. Makes no sense to me
