in the modern era since 1984 . 21 times has a player scored 60 or more points. 6 of those times it was Kobe. 4 times it was JordanKobe is the oldest player to score 60. Yea, nice stat. Could the stat people find some stuff for me that I'd really like to know. MJ scored 51 at 38 (older than Kobe) but it was only like his 14th year.
So how about like the latest career season somebody has scored 60 besides Kobe? Aka it was Kobe's 20th season. What are the next closest seasons people have scored 60. Maybe even check out 50+ for that matter. Like we know MJ put up 50 in his 14th year for example. I'd be interested to know because I don't think "age" really tells the whole story.
Yet another record LeBron will break someday.Only Kobe has scored 60 or over the age of 30 In the modern era.
Yet another record LeBron will break someday.
No.As others have said though...shouldn’t most NBA players be able to get 60 points on 50 shots if they paced themselves?
No.
1.2 pps is rated 65th in the league.
To qualify you have to play 70% of your teams games. It's safe to say most players that aren't playing 70% aren't very good.
Take out 16 centers and 15 pf, give or take, because of their shot selection and propensity to get hacked.
1.2 is now 30th in the nba, and the higher your usage goes up, the more attention you draw on defense and the more tired you get. You should see a deep decline from a guy in his 20th season, who's 38, at fifty shots and xx amount of free throws.
Guy scored. give him credit. Our don't, whatever. The only players that actually takes shots on our team that is more efficient is kyrie and lebron, and that's half the years on their legs and taking half the shots with other options around them.
I could see him gunning for it once or twice. Maybe in a game Kyrie/Love don't play.LeBron will never score 60 again on this Cavs team. 50 isn't even very likely.
It's not his game anymore. He doesn't need to.
A few years from now when LeBron is 34 or 35 and there are rumors that he’s all washed up/not the same guy, he’ll go for 60 in a game against a meaningless regular season opponent like the Sacramento Kings or Brooklyn Nets...just to prove that he still can.LeBron will never score 60 again on this Cavs team. 50 isn't even very likely.
It's not his game anymore. He doesn't need to.
And going back to what I was wondering, it looks like that was Wilt's 10th season in the league. Kobe did it in his 20th season. That is freakin insane.going back to 63. Wilt Chamberlain scored 60 or more twice at 32
