The Finals | Game 1 | Cavs @ Warriors | June 2nd, 2016 | 9:00pm EST

They also got a few transition baskets because we missed a few bunnies around the rim/refs not calling the foul.

For some context.

LeBron had a game where the Heat beat the Spurs by 19 because the bench scored 40. Wade only scored 10 that game.

The Spurs bounced back and won two out of the next three. Then the Ray Allen play saved them.

Sometimes in the finals there are games where one bench goes crazy and you have to just chalk it up and move on.

Lets see if they can constantly score 40 a game on us..
They don't need to consistently score 40..curry and klay won't play like that again

Missed chance big time

I just don't get it

If iggy keeps making that 3 shot he becomes a top 10 player in the game

How do you become such a great 3 point shooter when you couldn't shoot before

Whatever. The odds of a team coming back from 2-0 down when game 7 is in the other teams building is probably hovering around zero.

I mean.....that's not true at all. But ok.

It comes down to making shots. I'm not one to hit the panic alarm after one game. They had a good shot even though they played poorly. If they go down 0-3, yeah it's over. But 0-1? Chill chicken little. Let's see game two.

GS hardly looked like world beaters to me last night. 105 pts? We just need to make shots.

I agree with @JSS2306. It's time to make a change to the starting lineup. I know just the scrapper to get the job done.

This will sound weird but I'm pleased with this loss.

Not that I like losing, but because at the end of the day I'd rather have Barbosa-Livingston shooting than Klay and Steph. Their shots just happened to go in tonight. At one point it almost seemed comical.

9 games out of 10 we are beating them with Klay and Steph shooting this poorly.

Stay the course, don't waver and continue to shackle Klay-Steph because I will bet my bottom dollar Barbosa-Livingston isn't going to make their next 13 out of 15 shots.

We're treating this like its the end of the world and it isn't. Sure, it's discouraging to lose when you shut down their star players, but at least it showed we have the ability to defend them. If we're going to lose this series because Livingston and Barbosa kill us, I'll take my chances. Role players play well at home, and last night was a perfect example of that. It sucks to lose, especially the way that we did, but hope is not lost. Now if we come out and stink it up game 2, you can start worrying a bit, but until then there's no reason to panic

Seeing too many fans panicking. Bad loss but it's a Best of 7 series for a reason. Either you're All In or you're not.

Lue needs to revisit these lineups. Not sure why Frye disappeared and ball movement was non existent. Don't let LeBron play the entire first half. The 2nd half is more important.

"We" are not doing anything.

I was disappointed but encouraged by the loss. If we can play offense like we are capable we can beat these guys. But a 38% vs 50% shooting discrepancy loses most games. Let's get game two.

Or you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Cavs were down 3 when LeBron sat in the 3rd. Part of the reason they came back and he helped lock up Steph that qrt.

If you want to say he didn't play great...fine. Saying he sucked? When he also got no calls from the refs.
Quality posting though.

Nope, I disagree. LeBron seemed to have a lack of awareness all night. Yes, GS was allowed to be more physical perhaps than they should have been. However, just over and over he had the ball poked away or slapped out of his hands against players who he has to know are adept at such things. GS baited him into playing a certain way, and all game long he did what they wanted. Often playing 1 on 3 driving into the lane? That's not how he can play and allow us to win.

Making layups and open shots would help too. LBJ had a bad game too.

It really seems odd to me that the GSW backcourt hits open perimeter shots against the good defense of taller players but find it more challenging to hit outside shots against shorter guards. The Cavs for the most part did that well, as our small backcourt defended well.

Cavs took these shots when it was within 2-4 points:

57-61 Kyrie wild guarded 2 missed
59-63 LeBron 24 foot 3 missed
66-67 LeBron 25 foot 3 missed
68-67 Delly missed runner
68-69 LeBron missed guarded 18 foot jumper
68-71 Delly TO

This. Those outside shots. Just stupid decisions. LeBron's days of getting hot from the outside and hitting 5 or 6 threes in a row are long over. Move bodies, pass the ball. Stop with the iso ball and the plays where it takes 10 seconds to establish position.

He was pretty solid against Iguodala and in the limited possessions he found himself on Klay.

Livingston was on fire against Irving and Shump.

Irving then found himself on Barnes, who they immediately posted up.
Therein is the problem.
Cavs should resist the switching they do ..
Too many lapses on D..I saw too many times, where two players ran where Curry went to, leaving someone open to cut to the hoop..
Livingston did exactly the same thing he did last year setting up at the foul line with no resistance and hitting those shots..
Igo poking the ball away time and time again..
Lebron had too many turnovers.
Love didn't finish some of his point blank shots..JR had only 3 or 4 shots all night..and for spurts TT was MIA...again.
Cavs have to tighten up that weakside rotation help and not be so locked in on Curry that they allow others to take over.
