NBA Finals Game 2: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors - Sunday, June 5th @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LOL, anyone thinking LeBron coming back was a bad thing is delusional. Team makes the Finals back-to-back years and we're going to act like that's not working out well?

I get it's hard to not overreact when we get blown out like this... but if you truly believe watching a team tank for a #1 pick is better than watching a title team through the highs and lows, you're completely insane.

Have fun watching the Sixers.

I agree.
LeBron pretty much was trying to avoid getting stuck on a declining Heat team after the Spurs blew them out. The presence of an up-and-coming Kyrie plus the Cavs' assets, plus the added narrative/marketing opportunity of coming back to the team he left on such public and emotionally-charged terms was not only good business but an opportunity for him to write his own story.

Can't blame him for gambling. They went to the Finals 2 years in a row.

Down 0-2, in blow out losses, with one of the stars possibly sidelined..

Well, can't blame him for trying. I've been pretty ambivalent about LeBron James for the longest, and not really happy about his offensive performance tonight

but I dunno man.
I don't think there's much this team can do. "Play better" isn't enough, and "think better" is impossible.

Fuck 2007, this series feels like 2009.

I don't think GS is playing that great...nobody is showing up for us ...Kyrie...JR...Love all ghosts out there...game is too fast for us...we look disoriented and confused with no rhythm

GSW protected home court, Cavs have to do the same. But after these two games, I'm not confident.

Everyone is so mad that we're losing to the Warriors scrubs. But this defensive scheme is allowing it. I'd rather go out with Curry and Klay going bonkers on mostly contested threes than allowing a layup line. Play them as good three point shooters, don't play them as if they're going to make every single shot. We literally look completely lost on defense, like we're just chasing them around as if they're the ball carrier in football.

You forget that all of these players are in the freaking NBA. Like, out of the billions of people in the world, they're some of the 500 best basketball players. And we're giving them wide open shots and wide open layups due to the over reaction to Klay and Curry.

You get the whole team confident and in a groove by giving them such easy shots. I'd rather have Klay and Curry in a groove and everyone else shut out than this...

No, they're not playing well at all. But everyone on the floor is producing for Golden State. In some way or another. Maybe it'll be different when they're home. Maybe Golden State will be feeling over confident and put up a few goose eggs. But something needs to give.

Look this is a blowout now and it very well could've turned out that way anyways but its next to impossible to win a game officiated like this and even harder if your team thrives off of LeBron getting to the rim. They let Iggy/Draymond hack the shit out of him over and over. Curry is allowed to fucking bear hug him all he wants.

LeBron gets called for all of these offensive fouls and travels yet the Warriors threw 2 flying elbows with no call, both taking our players out of the play and causing huge swings. 1 literally took a player out of the game.

You have to play perfect to overcome that. It looks bad now but it's not like we were getting our asses kicked the whole game. This game was flatout called with a different set of rules for each team.

Trust me I know that haha thats the worst part. We won't hear a peep about it. The thing is I don't even know if its really about the NBA's rules in general its just that the Warriors are allowed to play by their own ones. Green and Iggy have gotten these defensive reputations that make them immune to fouls. It's amazing. It's easy to see all we've heard about is Iggy's strips so now he can get away with any "strip" he wants regardless of the contact. Now apparently they're gonna call travels but only against LeBron and if a foul is what caused the travel it doesn't matter.

We had to make a decision for our coaching staff to call this stuff out early and often, in fact lay the groundwork for making it an issue even before the series, and we totally failed to do so.

As the saying goes...fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I thought LeBron would finish his career in Cleveland, but after what I've witnessed in the Finals last year and now this year, I'm not so sure. LeBron tonight has looked like game 5 LeBron in 2010. He had the look on his face that he just knew this team had no chance against GS.

I'm starting to believe he'll head elsewhere after this year. The Cavs are in an eerily similar position as they were in 2010. Cap-strapped with no real way to significantly improve the roster, sans dismantling the team via trades.

I hate what I'm seeing from this team because they're playing with zero heart, effort, or intensity. That's why I'd rather watch a tanking team than what I'm seeing right now. They're mentally weak. As others have mentioned, Toronto would have put up a better fight than what we're putting up.

This team just flat out isn't good enough to beat GS. They've proven that over the past two years. I'm beginning to wonder if they'd even get out of the second round in the West.

I think we should start Frye, Love, LeBron, Shump and Kyrie. Shooting everywhere except for the guy attacking the hoop. JR off the bench to score while Klay is sitting. TT just kills spacing and spacing is the only thing that's going to get us back in this series.

Judging by the past two games, The players to defeat the Warriors are not there. PArt but physically and large bit mentally.
