As opposed to last year when Timo didn't play?
Be the same thing we did last year...
Frye played. That's 4 front court players. You just suggested we go with 3.

This is our only answer at this point, assuming Sanders isn't ready for the playoffs.

Today it got crystal clear players can't switch on whenever they can. With a fully healthy and rested team, there were no excuses - and they still couldn't keep it on for more than 3 or 4 minutes.
When a team coasts through 70% of the season, with the energy saving motive becoming pure laziness, the lack of focus becomes the norm. If these guys are this driven to play, you can imagine how they show up to train. Chance of improvement is zero.
I don't really blame Lue though. This group of players seem to be too self entitled. They take for granted the effort required during the regular season. There's a lack of humility, I guess. Only a coach with the height of Pop or something would make these guys move.
And defense clearly isn't natural to most of them. Now they will have to bust their asses to get ready. Let's see.
No...today was just more of the same...
Unless I missed it and today was a playoff game...
Thing is before today, I think there were always reasons/excuses for not making full effort. First part of the season is too away from playoffs. 2nd part the team was riddled with injuries. This was the first game with a complete roster in nearly 3 months. It was expected some sort of fresh new start, I think.
Moz was so bad last year he had trouble getting minutes in the regular season. Delly is a loss for sure, but he's the only real difference this year. Really what's happened is that this team has decided that playing defense in the regular season isn't worth it. You won't even be able to evaluate the D until the playoffs since they aren't going to be playing much of it.
This team's focus is that of a team that was eliminated from playoff contention a month ago.
Good point about Delly... he may not be a stopper all the time but you can always count on his full effort in the defensive end which can be contagious to others... he is a catalyst for effort and intensity which seems to be missing this season, nobody took that role when he left...Moz was so bad last year he had trouble getting minutes in the regular season. This is your answer: team isn't going to look good for another 2 weeks is my guess. Have to integrate Love and JR backin. Williams needs to get acclimated and Lue has to understand that some night playing Derrick Williams ahead of Frye makes sense. Like tonight: Faried as the difference in the game and Frye was terrible against him. Figuring out what to do with a complete roster is going to take time
