Ugh. Fuck the goddamn Cubs and choking ass Kershaw.
In Game 2 of the ALDS, Verlander, Altuve and Correa all delivered for Houston. Our three best players in Kluber, Lindor and Ramirez were nowhere to be found other than Frankie’s grand slam in Game 2. With as much emphasis as there is placed on variance in the postseason, having your best players perform well in October typically leads to your team advancing. Look at how incredible Justin Turner has been for the Dodgers, while Bryant and Rizzo are scuffling mightily by combining to hit 3-38 so far in the NLCS.
Nah. If he was pitching like that, the Yankees would be out of the playoffs alreadyCC is pitching like he's 25 again...amazing
I know we've bad some beat postseason beats in Cleveland, but pretty much every playoff series the Astros have ever been in, starting with the 1980 NLCS against the Phillies, they've suffered at least one brutal loss of a game they had in their hip pockets.
As much as we all hate to admit this, maybe the Yankees are just a better postseason team. Sure, the Tribe and Astros had better regular seasons, but NY has a lot of the elements that you need for postseason success. I realize Houston still has a chance to win this series. But, man, NY is a tough out.

I mean nothing seems to phase them. They were losing the wildcard game to the Twins and came back and beat them. They were down 2-0 to the Tribe including a crushing game 2 loss that would've broken most teams. They came back and beat them. They overcame a late 4 run lead to even up the series with Houston. I don't see Houston winning tomorrow in the Bronx. Can they go back home and finish NY off? I'm not so sure about that.
Like a great bullpen? And starting pitching? Strong lineup with few holes? The Tribe had everything you need except, apparently, the intangible. The Yankees are that team that got hot at the right time and will ride it to the World Series, kind of like us last year.
I wasn't saying it to absolve the Indians of any blame. They absolutely deserve to be blamed for choking in my opinion. But saying the Yankees are somehow built for the postseason better than the Indians is inaccurate.
