Or Santana.
I think Yonder's presence will ensure EE is seeing more or less the same kind of pitches he saw this year.
Or Santana.
Thoughts on Alonso?
Are you in the same camp as me in believing that Yandy Diaz will ultimately be Alonso's platoon partner at 1B this season especially with J-Ram heading back to 3B and Kip returning to 2B?I’d say he’s a tremendous fit for the lineup as currently constructed.
While there are ppl like the previous poster above who likely never appreciated Santana while he was here, will certainly miss him when gone at the first sign of a strikeout, or most notably when this team sees less pitches.
Defensively is the biggest area of concern. That part will be what makes or breaks his time in Cleveland.
I 100% agree we have as good a shot as any other team in the AL to get to the World Series.
Nobody matches our rotation and our bullpen is as good as any other.
While I'm not as down on our lineup as others, it does worry me that roughly half of our lineup is either inconsistent (Lonnie, who had a terrible 2nd half, Yan [inconsistent is being kind at this point]) or a question mark health wise (Brantley, Kip).
I understand Brantley is expected to be 100% and I won't label him injury prone, however whenever he does get hurt, it always seems like he's out for much longer than expected.
When Kip is healthy, he's fantastic. We've seen that. The problem is when he isn't healthy, he's just plain awful.
While we have no reason to believe Brantley and/or Kip will be hurt again in '18 and it's obviously no guarantee Lonnie's 2nd half struggles will carry over into '18, I don't think people are out of line or stupid to question the lineup some and are still holding out hope we can add a more dependable piece.

Rather there than to the Yanks. Astros are stacked.Cole to the Astros.....
This is such a simplistic way of looking at things that just makes 0 senseYankees actually didn't buy this round of wins, since most of the team was drafted or acquired via trade. They made the team properly this time and now they are going to be a pain to beat in 19 and beyond. They still have some holes that they haven't filled in yet.
