Cedi played well.

Was instrumental in us erasing that lead. Defended well and hustled hard. Two things that we desperately needed after 2nd quarter, Cedi provided that. Yes, those missed wide-open shots fucked us up in the end. But he didn't pass it like a hot potato. He took the shots.
I know @Sir'Dom Pointer would criticize Lue for keeping and playing Cedi for so long and its true as he should have made that adjustment and got Korver in. But, I kinda liked the fact that Lue trusted Cedi late in the game even after playing heavy mins. Because the truth is, we would need Cedi in playoffs. And games like these are vital for Cedi's development and is a great learning curve for him. A loss like this would hurt Cedi and motivate him to improve further.

Really think it had to do with his thighs...Not enough lift on those 4th quarter 3’s ? (As most of you know it’s been a huge concern of mine for over a year now)

Being yo-yo’d with your rotational minutes can compromise the luscious-ness of ones 4th quarter thighs...

My point is, his defense and energy helped spur the comeback, but his missing those shots is like when you get the hangover soon thereafter the night after drinking a fifth.

I like Cedi like anybody else and he had been played to death, but you simply gotta hit one of those shots. Pure and simple. I wish Zizic got that kind of run.

yup. If you can't hit those shots then Korver has to be out there for the last 5-10 minutes. It wasn't just that he missed the shots, it was that he let the Sixers play the rest of the team five on four in the half court.

But I have confidence he will get there on those shots. He's too good not to and he clearly has the talent to shoot from distance. He's shooting 40% from 3 after all.

Also, he should get his FT percentage up. If he can shoot 52% from the field and 40% from 3 he can damn sure shoot better than 60% from the free throw line.

this is about the easiest best stuff to improve though. You can't teach his hustle, defensive skills, or instincts, but you can teach an already pretty good shooter to do it more consistently.

The two missed opportunities to secure the ball led to Sixers getting second chance possessions was a killer but I thought he guarded really well and actually got Love a few rare looks in the 2nd half which was great. Missing those two shots will be what people remember unfortunately but he will use that as experience going forward. Rookie highs and lows are real, just yesterday he hit two big threes and got a game sealing steal + 2 made free throws and then he misses 2 open threes and misses a crucial free throw.

Got to be said that Cedi was 2/7 not including two of his half court heaves before he had attempted those two threes. He was also fouled by McConnel on a post up.

The shooting percentage looks much worse than it actually wa,s and he was gassed in the 4th because of the wanky rotations.

It should also be noted that the bulk of those misses outside of the late threes and the heaves, were in the first half when everyone except Jeff Green was shooting pretty poorly . I think he was like 2/3 in the third , 0/6 in the first.

Well, if want to make excuses......this is a make or miss game. Cedi missed when it counted.

I think Cedi played really well all things considered. His defensive positioning and 1 on 1 defense in the 2nd half were probably the best on the team. He made Simmons take very hard shots several times or give up the ball.
He wasn't as good offensively, obviously, but the guy jumped up from playing <10 minutes since the injury to 30+ and working really hard on defense. Hands become very shaky.

I'm not making excuses Cedi choked in the fourth this is true. I'm just saying that he made his shots in the third during the comeback.

This. Rhythm is an important part of good basketball and you can clearly see that Cedi still hasnt found his rythm. There are times where he gets dnps and suddenly he is starting etc. The lack of experience and rythm impacts his offense, but he still finds a way to contribute and thats why im not worried about him. If he gets a stable role he will be a steady net positive Baller. Pretty sure.

Missed a crucial rebound, so did Lebron. Missed a crucial Free throw so did Lebron, missed 2 3s, Love missed one, Lebron.missed one.

Plenty of opportunities to win that game, but I think rebounding lost that game.

Cedi was awesome. It would have been great had he hit those, but he didnt. Overall easily best effort on the team.
