But I agree, there's little reason Cedi gets so little playing time, even when there's quite a few possessions in this series where the Cavs are up 10-15 points. Those are the times where you find a few minutes in the rotation to get Cedi some burn... Not just when the game is decided.

So many opportunities, but he doesn't want to do that for reasons that are not basketball related.

Cedi shouldn't be getting he rookie treatment. He isn't a smug rookie that thinks highly of himself and thinks he is better than everyone and needs a lesson in humility. Cedi has been a perfect teammate, a commendable professional, model to all Turkish brothers and rookies around the world that get no playing time. Where other players pout on the bench for not getting playing time despite not being very good, he cheers every damn second of every damn game. This isn't the fucking 90's-early 00's where players are punished for being rookies. Fucking reward your class A rookie with some playing time that he deserves and help your team while you are at it.

He is treating him like a scrub. Favouritism at it's finest if you ask me.

I thought the same. The Cavs should not forget that, and make sure he pays for it. Seemed like a violation of protocol.

Everybody gets the rookie treatment, Dom.. Cedi has a lot of potential, but Ty Lue is an old-school kind of coach and shows deference to veteran players. Those players don't want to lose minutes to a rookie -- and IMHO, Lue takes this too far by not finding a few minutes to play Cedi in the playoffs (the way Pop, or Kerr would). I think that's a mistake, personally, but I understand his logic.

Or Stotts with Zach Collins, or Quinn with Royce O'Neal(a G-League rookie) and Mitchell, or Casey with OG Anunoby and Van Vleet last year, or Stevens with you know...this is just from playoffs. There are tons of coaches and teams outside of the playoffs that gave their rookies big minutes this season despite having negative impact. And Cedi's impact is very much positive. You can see that in his On/Off even. It's pretty crazy that he is +5.5 in the playoffs despite playing garbage time while sharing the floor with Clarkson and Green... he was also +3.4 in the RS.

I think we basically agree. Just that you give this legitimacy, and in fact it should be his downfall and is probably his biggest knock as a coach, while I simply do not and can not let it go.

But yeah, I think we can agree on this subject.

I didn't know what to expect from this team in game 4. I knew Boston was going to try and prove something and I questioned if Cleveland could put up the heart and hustle in consecutive outings. Sure enough, they did. I absolutely loved the in game adjustments made, 1 coach would sub a guy in, the other would do the same...it was a mind game as much as a physical one. I thought Korver's hustle threw Boston out of whack, they didn't expect it and, keeping it real, neither did we. Not only did they have to guard him from making his shot, they actually had to work on the offensive end with him defending. Nice pace, nice timing and I hope this flow keeps building. I want nothing more than to have that Boston arena so quiet you can hear their season choking away...
