LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm a petty POS. I don't care. I can't even look at this guy. As soon as his name pops up, I turn the page or close the window. Just done. Seeing LeBron James in a Lakers jersey is sickening and that's all there is to it.

That's not healthy. Because Lebron will continue to be everywhere and this will be even worse than he first time for you. It's just not healthy to root against Lebron...it's a war you can't win.

Just be happy the Cavs aren’t held hostage anymore, and we aren’t in the midst of a 50+ year championship drought.

It sucks he left, but he never had to return.

I’m pretty indifferent to it at this point....I dislike the political nature and tenor he has taken the last few years, but otherwise, more power to him. I’m excited for team basketball and what the new nucleus of Cavs players can do.

Kinda reminds me of how I felt about the Steelers my whole life.

I'm not saying that you should root for him; I just think that anger can be a very bad thing, especially if it's in your face all the time. You can be indifferent for the right reasons. Like, he is irrelevant to me because he isn't part of the team, so he just doesn't interest me anymore. I won't actively try to avoid it, and at times I might be interested to watch/read what he has to say...like any other player in the league.

For me personally, I don't feel anger towards Lebron right now(though I had plenty of hate right after he announced his decision), though that might change...who knows. I don't like him and I don't appreciate how he handled ALOT of things; I'm just in a different chapter right now.

I just know how much it sucks to hate something that it's in your face all the time in an area that you otherwise love...

I love to see the Steelers lose almost as much as I like to see the browns or raiders win. I actually love to watch either. The same applies for LeBron when he isn't a cav. I just don't get that upset when it doesn't go my way.

The past 4 years, most of all 2016, and of course the difference between July 2018 and July 2010, change everything.

He's in "enemy of my enemy is my friend" territory right now, as I will still loathe the Warriors even with us being non-competitive with them in the near future, and even if the Lakers may not be that competitive against them either yet.

Even his being on an "old guard" team doesn't bother me, to use a term often used [reddit link, see also realgm, etc] by dubheads who whine about others complaining about parity. The Warriors ARE the old guard! They came into this current run with 3 titles - more than the Heatles' franchise started 2010 with - are tied with the Bulls right now for 3rd at 6, and could close a LOT of the gap with the Celtics/Lakers by the time the run is over. Not to mention their "40 years of being lovable losers" had some very respectable seasons.

Thats exactly how i feel. He repulses me now.

Holy shit. If LeBron gets Anthony Davis to join him with the Lakers...holy shit.

I think I'd have to start watching the Lakers. Not more than the Cavs, but I'd LOVE to see LeBron beat the Warriors again.

It would be fun. And then he could kill the Celtics in the finals. I could live with that result.

I never want James Harden to get a ring. He's a fake piece of shit. Fuck the Durant Warriors winning another one. And I hope Kyrie never gets another one as well.

That leaves LeBron and who else?

Happy he's sending money back to NEO, happy he came back and got the Cavs and Cleveland a title, but once he left the first time it pretty much changed my view of sports fandom in general, and I never really trusted him as a Cavalier when he was back the second time.

It's interesting how he's basically changed how players control their careers. That's probably for the better by and large, but probably not so hot for Cleveland and smaller market teams. I think the next labor dispute is going to be painful because of how much money these guys are leaving on the table. James, Durant.. if guys are willing to walk away from the extra money in favor of super teams, etc.. the owners will certainly re-visit a hard cap.

Heck, maybe he can get Durant and Davis. Something real crazy is going to happen next summer in LA, bank on it. Lebron didnt go there to play with Lance and Beasley.

Granted, he is players' union president and everything and that limits his discounting ability, but Bron really hasn't left that much on the table in each particular year, other than his age-37 season far down the road; even the Heatles discounts weren't that drastic. Coward on the other hand, to say nothing of the confluence of several other financial timing lucky factors with GS i.e. Curry's ankles and the one-time spike...

I think you are looking at a false choice with respect to LeBron's player influence. It was exceedingly difficult for small markets to win in the NBA before LeBron's moves anyway, and even though he has some influence in other sports that have different balances of player and management power, it's not very great influence, if that is what you are trying to say with "Cleveland and smaller market teams" i.e. all sports.

So, the real choice is between one championship with little hope on the horizon, and probably zero with little hope on the horizon - I say probably because it's highly unlikely we could've gotten either a Kyrie/Love level supporting core or a championship-seasoned LeComeback who learned from his Miami wins and losses if things had gone differently i.e. if he spent his whole career here. He realistically could've been on the Westbrook/Harden/Malone "NO RANNGZ" tier in that case.

Lebron gave us a title and 11 prime years of the 2nd best player in the history of the game...

He never had to come back....NEVER

But he did and we did the unthinkable with him...

If he wants to talk politics to the left of Maduros nut sack, he’s earned the right...

We won the title!!!

I actually agree with most of this (except the Kyrie part of course, but maybe the rumors of him going to the Knicks are true and I don't have to "root" for Boston because Fuck Golden Piss).

But yeah, if LeBron's Lakers manage to recruit stars there and up end the Golden Piss Reign of Terror, I will root for that every day. Any team that beats them really. They are the Cheatriots of the NBA
