I agree with Lowes take. We are going to have to just spam threes and play hard like last years nets for us to win games.
I'll agree with them being more talented than the nets, but I don't think they are a playoff team in either conference.Cavs are so much more talented than last years Nets. It's pretty crazy.
This is a playoffs team in the east. Miami isn't more talented than this squad; neither is Charlotte.
Popovic takes this team easily to the playoffs.

Neither of those two teams are very good, but I think they have better guard play( especially Charlotte) even factoring in dragic had a down year. Heat for sure will be much better defensively. They were top 10 last year. I don't think the cavs will be top 10 in either defense or offense. I think you are looking at near last in the league in defense and perhaps 20th in offense for the cavs. That's not a playoff team. What makes Charlotte or the Heat better?
I have seen worse teams squeak into the playoffs in the East.

Miami was 7th in defense. They were an awful offensive team but they were damn good on defense. That is why they made the playoffs. Charlotte was middle of the road in both, but Kemba is a very good offensive player. We don’t have anybody like him that can create plays consistently. For us to to even sniff the playoffs we need to improve defensively by leaps and bounds. I just don’t see that happening.I'm not saying that they will be a playoffs team. I'm saying that their players are v underrated, and with a good coach they should be in the playoffs contention in the east.
Dragic was not that much better than Hill last season ( despite being an all-star lol) and Whiteside just isn't that impactful at this point. Who else is there? a bunch of role players. Olynyk is pretty good and Bam Adebayo is due for a breakout here sooner rather than later...but that's it.
Who does Charlotte have other than Kemba Walker? is he that much better than Love? I think we can have a bunch of solid slashers on the squad. Cedi can drive and dish as well as shoot from 3 and Sexton can potentially create for others with his speed, and we have shooter to surround them with. This is a pretty deep and versatile team. Now, with a good coach I would have placed Zizic as one of our more impactful players-- but this is not the case, so yeah...
Who knows really...but the talent gap if present is not very big.
OK, ESPN is trolling us now...they are posting a bunch of fake movie posters summing up each team, here is ours...

Josh Richardson, Dion (I know I know but he’s actually good with Spo), James Johnson are all much better than the Cavs 3rd, 4th, 5th best players. Charlotte depends on the development of Malik Monk for me, I personally don’t think Charlotte is better than the cavs though. But I do think the Heat are more talented and have a significant coaching advantageI'm not saying that they will be a playoffs team. Love is a jag. Posts like these live in fantasy.I agree that we have the roster to make the 7th or 8th seed if several things break right and we maintain health. And to definitely be better than the Hornets. Every year I under rate the Heat, so I do think they are still ahead of us. I see up ceiling as 42-44 wins and the 7th seed. I see our floor as 28-31 wins and the 7th spot in the lottery.
But yeah, comparing us to the Nets last year is just not doing it for me. To start, they didn’t have a single player even near the caliber of Love.
