Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When has ESPN ever wanted Cleveland to do well?

-They've pretty much made no secret since the day LeBron was drafted that they wanted him out of Cleveland. One of their talking heads in fact celebrated the fact that he would no longer have to come to Cleveland in some instagram video due to this fact.

-(Not Cleveland but still counts) They've made no secret about airing anti-ohio state talking heads as has been discussed ad naseum here.

-Michael Wilbon has said on PTI when the Browns were discussed he "Didn't like talking about them because they were irrelevant".

There's been "pockets" of fans, don't get me wrong. It felt like Chris Berman for example, seemed to really enjoy doing our highlights during the Couch era etc. But it's been quite a rarity..

We are looked so down by them. We've not been on Monday Night football for over 5 years. Despite a lot of other dog shit franchises that continue to get a spot on their shitty program.

This team is terrible. You couldn't put a rookie QB in a worse situation than here, and the fact he's resembled something shows how good he is.

Not that this changes your point, but they were on Monday Night Football only back in 2015-2016. I remember this because the Ravens won on a buzzer-beater blocked FG touchdown.

So many people were making fun of the Browns for passing on Barkley at #1

I almost guarantee those people haven’t pieced it together that this Browns season is the perfect example for why you DONT take a RB #1 or #2 overall. They’ll just continue to rabidly say “hurr durr gotta take the generational RB (which instead of every generation seems to come around every year) at #1 or you’re a terrible franchise”

Think the Giants would rather have buddy boy and Chubb right now or Barkley and Rudolph (best QB available in round 2)? It’s such a laughable landslide especially considering I’d just take Chubb over Barkley straight up
