Nik Stauskas & Sauce Across The World Tour

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
14 drafts of #8 overall picks. 3 are currently out of the league. That means 5 of the remaining 11 #8 overall picks are on the Cavaliers.

So are gonna sign KCP this off season? And trade for Rudy Gay, Frank Ntlikina, Al Farouq-Aminu. Can't think of the other 2 number 8 picks left in the league but we may as well collect them all.

Why did they move him if they wanted him is my question? Was the tax line a question? Were they thinking of signing Adel and didn't because of his last game? I thought they didn't really need to send him to the Rockets?

Terrence Ross
Stanley Johnson

Could also sign Brandan Wright, Joe Alexander or Jordan Hill off the street.

For some reason I remember points in time where I wanted both T. Ross and Jordan Hill on the Cavs, but I can't remember the context...

back on topic: HILARIOUS!!! Koby Altman got picks for this guy! AND traded for Rodney Hood in the process!! And still got one of the guys in the trade WITH the picks!!

My Mavs friend was always talking about Brandon Wright. Taking a guy with no BBAll skills is very risky. Joe Alexander too

Likely just a tax decision.

His previous deal was $1.6 million.....his newly signed one is 500K.

In a luxury tax scenario, that is a significant savings.

Can we officially change his name to Koby the Swindler?

Exactly what I wanted to know. I thought he was already on a minimum salary. Thanks

Jordan Hill?

Are you suggesting we sign another big man with limited skills?

I remember wanting Terrance Ross because the wing players around LeBron weren't getting the ball in the basket. The other young guys aren't worth repeating.

Ross would have been good I think. It would have been instead of Dion? I suppose we got JR instead.

We've had so many players come and go the last 18 months or so I'm dizzy from it all. Most have been duds for one reason or another. I'm hoping one of these guys we get on the cheap works out better than planned. Nik shouldn't have to do much to be better than Nance the $10M a year man. I hardly know anything about our new guy really.

It's not the actual salary but the salary cap hit. Even though he would have played for us for a partial season when we traded for him we would have been on the hook for his whole salary in terms of luxury tax and cap, if we kept him. Depending on his contract payout structure we might actually pay him more real money to play with us now vs his traded contract.

We were real close to hitting the luxury tax line. I still haven't found a solid source for the number Real GM said 500k before we just did this signing and Bobby Marks said 1 million. Hopefully Windy or someone more reliable than those two will point it out at some point.
