Then we wouldn’t have those very informative halftime interviews when he lays down his knowledge to our Clifton replacement. We've given up 30+ in every quarter this game. To the Mavs, without Doncic. Put Longabardi in the nearest dumpster asap.

Despite the deficit for most of the game, I enjoyed it. Watching Dirk chase Chamberlain didn't hurt, but compared to earlier games in the season, there was fight and effort not to look embarrassing.
- Having Love play has made the team look at least 3 times as good compared to him sitting.
- Chriss on the other hand bleeds points on defense. Has no court awareness. Doesn't block out for rebounds, can't spread the floor, nada. Does he realize what he's doing to his future?
- I like watching Sexton improve on both ends. He's not a great defender, but he has made an effort to get back when defending his man in the pick and roll. He's gold in transition, but when there's nothing, he doesn't sit with the ball for a full shot clock. In fact, he has no problem letting his teammates try to score instead. He sometimes should move a bit more when he's off the ball, but I do see some more movement compared to earlier.
- In comparison, Clarkson is a sieve on defense. He does pass the ball sometimes, but moreso than not, tries to drive the ball 90% of the time. Reminds me of Corey Maggette in terms of scoring off drives (like a black hole).
- We are somewhat thin in the frontcourt (in terms of quality) and would like to see Nance and Thompson play sometime soon. Ante has improved, but he can't play 35 minutes every game and not expect to tire out.
- Osman came alive. When he's on fire, he can score in a hurry (from three and inside). Stauskas, on the other hand, has no touch whatsoever. It's a pity, really, but that's why he's on a minimum contract.
- I do miss Delly on the court. Right now, Sexton and Knight are both covering point guard duties, but because they're starting together, they have to be subbed for each other. I don't think Larry Drew has a good sense for rotations...
The one thing Sexton has done defensively since the beginning of the season is really try and get around the pick. Kyrie ALWAYS ran right into the pick as if he never knew it was coming. Sexton still has a long way to go (just like any other 19-20 year old rookie) but you can tell he is trying. His long arms can't compensate enough sometimes for being 6'2 but he is trying to use his speed more and that is good. Stauskas is horrid. Even crap players get hot every once in a while and he has yet to even get on the warmer side of cold. Clarkson is Clarkson and he can shoot you into a game or out of one and he has been doing the latter more often which helps the tank but not our growth which is what I am mostly concerned about. Osman is coming along. He now knows that if he starts off bad, he will most likely come around where earlier, he seemed to get down and let it affect his game. Good post!Despite the deficit for most of the game, I enjoyed it.
