2019 NFL Draft: Day 3 Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cornerback plays the biggest role in stopping pass offense. They also are undervalued on the market. Sign me up for as many as possible.

DK Metcalf barely ran a better 3 cone than Forbes.

I know nothing about him. People who know what they are talking about (IE Brugler) love him and think he's a guard at the next level. He's basically the perfect James Campen guy.

Lewis Jr. suffered a real bad fracture at the Shrine game. I think he was on pace to be a 3rd-4th rounder. He's a good player who, analytically, had a very good profile but couldn't test due to injury.

He also was extremely versitile and plays both corner and safety. Stash him for a year and see what happens next year.

I like both, but not taking a single DT in a GREAT DT draft is just asinine. Dorsey did fine, but I really disliked his 5th round.

I would have liked a DT. But with all the DTs drafted early this year, I can't help but wonder if there will be a decent amount of cuts at that position around the league. We should be able to add some depth.

Of course trading someone like Duke for a DT could happen too.

Stanley Morgan going undrafted would be a shock to the system.

Hall apparently has the soft label, which is a death sentence for a lot of guys.

For the Browns, his injury was actually a plus. They can work with him for a year while he doesn't take up a spot on the 53 man roster. He has staggering production - third in the nation in passes defensed last season - and has that versatility Wilks clearly wants out of the linebackers and defensive backs. He played safety, outside corner and slot at Tulane.

He's the new BBC

Drafting a kicker has all kinds of analytics written all over it. Place kicking is one of the most important positions in the game and teams fill it with undrafted players and walk ons, probably because even though they use their feet, they aint really football players and scouts are not good at picking them. I’m fine with the choice.

Not sure if a 5th round DT would make a big difference if there’s an injury. A vet would be a much better choice. But they should consider getting someone on a rookie contract next draft for financial safety.

Anyone see Mike Tomlin talk up Michigan on NFL Network?

Felt like I had to vomit.

I may have been raised a Boilermaker fan, went to Kent State, but I'll be damned if I hear that combination praised. I side with OSU sans the times they play Purdue.
