New TV Series to watch

Don't know if you guys are aware, but next season is Supernatural's last. Some of the recent seasons, including the current one, have been kind of weak. But the season finale last night was incredible, and really sets up a great last season. I wouldn't recommend watching the entire season if you abandoned the show, but watching the last episode is definitely worth it. A truly "holy fucking shit" setup for the last season.

I've been watching right along since season one. I can say that I am okay with them ending it after next season. To me, I feel like I am getting a 10th season more then I thought I was going to get since most people don't remember how unlikely it originally looked that they would renew after season 5. Yep, was pretty clear that the final was the set up for the final season's plot line. My guess is some things are going to go down that needed to be in a season that was the end so that is why they already announced that this is going to be the last season coming up. Next season will be interesting.

Didn't see that new big bad guy coming at all. Total shock for me at least. I kept expecting there to be some twist so that what seemed to be happening really wasn't happening...but it did.

Should be a really fun way for the show to finish up, because it opens up bringing back a whole bunch of other characters. Kind of like a compilation show spread over an entire season, except with new plots, etc.. I hope they can pull it off, because the potential certainly is there.

It opens up the chance for a lot of bad guys to have to be put down all over again.

I'm putting my money on....

Amara shooting Chuck....

Wonder if ol' Crowley will come back. Guess he didn't leave on the best of terms, but who knows.

I really hope we see your spoiler occur. That would be cool. I hope he comes back, the show isn't the same without him.

My daughter tried to get me to watch supernatural. Only sat through a couple of episodes, I was sitting there thinking "this guy isn't a very good actor", one of the brothers. While I was thinking that, she said "this guy is such a great actor". I told her what I was thinking, she said "he is so a great actor, he used to be on a Soap" - I said "you just proved my point." :chuckle:

She hasn't wanted me to watch it with her since then.

Finished Cobra Kai season two. It wasn't as good as the first season. It wasn't as gritty as the first. It seem to go away from what made the first season so good. The first season basically showed the two sides of Cobra Kai and the Larusso family. It showed neither were completely bad or good in the first season. Now its too one sided, not sure why it's even called Cobra Kai at this point.

There’s a show called Chambers out on Netflix. Here’s the synopsis:

After having a heart attack, a teenager gets a heart transplant to survive. She subsequently becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding her life-saving heart. As she gets closer to uncovering the truth about her donor's sudden death, she begins to take on the characteristics of the deceased donor, including some that are troublingly sinister. Creator Leah Rachel describes the series -- which stars Oscar nominee Uma Thurman -- as "a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma."

It was on at a buddy’s house. I enjoyed it but then it kept going after I thought the point of the show was done, and then I had to leave. Should I pick it back up?

Has anyone watched Turn: Washington's Spies?

Really enjoying Lost in Space. Just enough elements from the original series, just enough differences to be way better than I expected.

Parker Posey as Dr. Smith is an absolute hoot. She's always had crazy eyes, and the sliminess with which she plays Smith is a perfect fit.

I can't remember the last time I was excited about a Netflix original. I guess Daredevil Season 3. But they cancelled that shit.

Pretty close to just ending my subscription.

Netflix has moved from quality to quantity. I think they are going to hit a wall with subscribers soon. It's hard to wait for the quality tv shows that seem to take 18+ months now like Lost in Space, the Crown, or the OA. It might be years before we get another season of Master of None.

Netflix use to have their pick of British tv shows so that kept the quality fairly high but now AMC, Starz, Amazon, HBO, etc are willing to do joint ventures with BBC and other British tv stations.

They really need 12-15 shows a year that catch people's attention instead what seems like 25-30 shows and 20-25 sub-par movies. I'd much rather see a couple good movies surprise us every year on Netflix than the movies they are currently willing to produce. I tend to start a movie on Netflix and check the IMDb after 10-15 minutes in and decide it's not worth my time.
