Cavs draft workouts

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wow, it’s hard not to be impressed! Langford seems like a very grounded kid. It’s hard to fathom being a high school kid and having adults wait in line for 2 hours to get your autograph and then having a court named after you at 18. I think that would go to the head of a lot of 18 year olds

I think the kid tried to put Indiana on his back...he was Mr Indiana and went to Indiana and played through injury, for the team , not for draft stock , not for his on personally reasons. I would just love to have him, can easily get behind him and he has the talent of anyone else in the top 5(exclude Zion and Ja)

**sees that Easybreezy was the last post in the draft thread**

**assumes it’s about undying love for Romeo Langford**

**clicks anyway despite better judgment**

**sees 3 straight posts of Romeo Langford highlight vids and one closeup of his butt**
Hahahah ain't it the truth. Its a nice ass though.

Weird. I just watched another 15 minutes breakdown of Culver. While the guy was very high on him overall, he actually went to great lengths breaking down things about Culver’s shot, form, and mechanics that he didn’t like, whereas this guy praises Culver for a great shot, release, and form.

Not choosing sides, just thought it was interesting how varied the opinions can be.

I think Culver is #1 on my board if we stay at 5 and he’s there. Seems like a good fit for Beilein and a good fit next to Sexton.

Follow Bryan on twitter. He's a bit rough around the edges and dismissive but he did work in the NBA for years and has quite a bit of knowledge. He's done a few in-depth scouting videos as well.

I really liked how well Culver uses his body offensively to create space, shield the ball, etc.. Footwork is really good as well.

Oddly, I also liked that his athleticism isn't what stood out. Just repeatedly sound, smart basketball plays, and good defensive awareness.

He's like the Medium Fundamental. Seems to me like the kind of guy who would really excel when teamed up with other smart players in a good system.

I hope we keep the pick and he's there at 5.

The biggest pain point I see with Culver long-term is his perimeter shooting. That’s ultimately whats going to determine his ceiling.

If he can develop into a 35%+ 3PT shooter, he has a *chance* to be a primary offensive option.

If his shot doesn’t develop, he’s stuck as a second or possibly even third banana.

I’m not terribly worried about his lack of explosion because I think he has a fun level of craftiness bordering on quirkiness with his pace and rhythm off the bounce that allows him to create space, albeit not in the most aesthetically pleasing ways at times.

Posted this video in S34 a few days back...Culver didn't see many open driving lanes, but he was plenty explosive given the opportunity. Here, one dribble and a poster dunk over two defenders (ignore that it's inexplicably called an offensive foul). Did Cam Reddish do that even once on the countless dozens of hard closeouts he drew last season?

this standing vert at a Lakers workout (angle a little off but still )proves Culver has no problem with explosiveness
Looking at this they put the 12' vert measuring apparatus on a platform because he was jumping higher than 12'

There's a difference between athleticism and functional athleticism.

A lot of guys can jump really high in a controlled setting. Stick a basketball in their hands, force them to take a dribble, stick a defender in their faces and things change.

I like Culver a lot, but I trust his tape as a more realistic look at his athleticism compared to a workout photo.
