Yeah I wouldn't read anything into it. He goes there all the time in the off-season.

Another media source tried to link Love to OKC, with headlines saying they "could trade" for him. I'm a Thunder fan and would obviously love to see him play for OKC (and reunite with his college teammate Westbrook), but these headlines were simply to manipulate fans into reading a trade idea from a guy from a web site. He thought it would be a good deal if the Thunder went through with the trade he personally conceptualized. The Thunder themselves have exhibited no interest, though.

This kind of thing happens with Love every off-season in Cleveland, but he never goes anywhere. With his contract and age, I'm sure he will stay put.

His greatest value in the near term is after free agency begins. Teams with cap space that strike out may need some kind of win.

But there's no reason for the Cavs to move him for anything less than a crazy offer. If Houston comes offering three future first round picks with no lottery protection, I listen - but it also largely depends on what they expect the Cavs to take back.

Houston seems the team most likely to want a guy like Love, especially right now since it appears Klay and KD are gone next year, whether in GSW or not. Next year is a big window for the Rockets and they are capped out - so they can only improve by adding players like Love.

But I see nothing the Cavs want outside of picks - so an asset like Capela would need to be moved to another team in a trade, etc.

If the Cavs get blown away, they may trade him. And a team in Houston's position is the only club that could even attempt it.

With the Toronto victory and Golden State having health issues next year, I am now convinced we should trade Love because eventually this offseason he will have value. He is a true pro and should be consulted on the destination, but if we want to maximize all assets at the right time, now is the time to trade Love.

That said, a trade home to either Clippers or Lakers or even a West coast team probably would be something Love desires. I think there is a win/win trade out there later this offseason after things shake out.

The injuries to KD & Klay have really opened up the West and given new hope to teams like Houston, OKC, Portland, Utah, & others. Houston, for example, seemed ready to blow up their roster, but I bet they are now rethinking that. It wouldn’t surprise me if some teams make a run at Love, although I don’t believe the Cavs are ready or willing to deal him, at this point.

Lakers have nothing to trade. Unless you want to do JR and love for kuzma
That would give lakers a shooter and cap space. The timing of this davis deal does not leave lakers much cap space

The Lakers LOVE Kuzma. I’m not sure they would trade him straight up for Love.

There could be an opportunity to reunite Love with his UCLA teammate, Russell Westbrook, in OKC. Here’s one possible deal:

Thunder get: Love, Tristan Thompson, & JR Smith
Cavs get: Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Andre Roberson, & Hamidou Dilallo

I don't see either team doing that

lol you can't send Love's contract for Kuzma let alone Love and Smith , not too mention Cavs would never do that

Love Kev but why did we extend him. Gilbert needs to stay the fuck out of front office

So Horford not going back to Boston, opted out and is signing elsewhere,,,I've heard in the past that Ainge really liked Kevin Love...could there be a deal in the making? Hayward? 14? 20? Boston has to have a plan B somewhere. There team has gone to shit pretty quickly.

Because he is a quality talent that wanted to play in Cleveland. Not like that list was long after LeBron left. And he can be potentially dealt for future value. He walks in free agency and you get zero back other than cap space that you don't need with this roster.
