2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He is a radio lead. Not the type that breaks news on Twitter but you never know.

As a Hawk fan, I am not the happiest camper trading 8/10 to move up at all but I am okay with it if it's a SF and not Culver. Would be livid if it was Culver.

That said, what's with the love for Kevin. His contract is beyond trash. I didn't realize it had 4 more years left with declining impact. That's not a positive deal at all. I would rather Atlanta pass on it although and just take Cam at #8 unless they feel someone wants to trade up to #7 and grab him. I'll rather 8/10/17 honestly.

Three premium slots.
I think the rumor that the Hawks would move up for Culver is BS. It makes no sense since Culver plays the same spot as Huerter and their need is at SF, not SG. I think they want Hunter, who would be an almost perfect fit for what they need, as neither Trae Young or Huerter are strong defenders. Hunter would be a great 3 & D guy for them.

I heard the Hawks are eyeing Jaxson Hayes with their other pick.

Love to Atlanta doesn’t make sense, unless it’s a 3-way deal where he lands with a contender. The Cavs would certainly be interested in the Hawks bevy of picks.

Those are not premium spots or the ATL radio wouldn't be pushing trading up.
These trade ideas have been in circulation for weeks and this guy pushing it is
just following that theme.
Cavs will not accept 10 and 17 under any circumstances. 8 and 10 and a 2nd or enjoy your weak willed Duke 3rd option and a project big who can't rebound
That's bullshit. You aren't the Cavs just like I am not the Hawks and that's bullshit you just wrote.

On every draft value chart 10/17>>>5. Every Damn One. Especially in this draft.

So Atlanta would be moving up for...

That doesn’t seem to make sense, unless Reddish’s stock is higher than any of us realize and Culver’s is simultaneously lower.

With Trae Young & Kevin Huerter in place, the Hawks seem to need a SF. Hunter, not Culver or Reddish, seems like an ideal fit for what the Hawks need.

I wonder if the Cavs aren’t targeting someone else at #10? I REALLY hope it’s isn’t Bol Bol.
Maybe Reddish's stock is high for Atlanta, or they want others to think that.

not in this draft

Looks like the Cavs are set to take Reddish unless Atlanta blows off their socks. Big 5 of Williamson, Ja, Barrett, Garland and Reddish. After that, drop off.

Hawks like a number of guys, Little, Cam, Culver, Hunter, Hayes, Sekou, Clarke, etc. Same for every team in this draft.

It's all about value. If the Cavs value having two picks over one higher pick. That's their choice. In this type of draft, that's normal.

Love does make sense but the contract is horrible. We play a space based, PDS style based on tempo, actions, player and ball movement, playmaking and shooting. He is actually a center that makes sense for us. That contract on the other hand :bad:. What the hell were the Cleveland FO thinking? He still got four years left o_O 120+ million left o_O

No one will give you assets straight for Love. On the decline. 120 million owed. Good for only 60 games a season. Don't be Rocket fans. I still remember being on bbs and them saying they want cap space and 4th pick from the Lakers for CP3. :bigshock: In reality, if they could get Batum and maybe MKG, they did a heck of a job.

It could always be based on other teams moving up in front of you as well. Especially if PHX thinks there player will be there at #6, they don't want to move back and Bulls may have a different value for a trade, that could always change things. This could be to lock in the player even if he could just fall to 8. Teams have to think about these things.

I think Culver, Garland, Hunter, Reddish, and White could go in basically any order from #4-#8. I don't think anyone knows what the order will be. I think the Hawks are probably most worried about it because if Coby White or Garland fall to #8 then they will have a real hard choice to take the best player available or someone for fit. I think there is a drop off in talent from #8 to #9 just like there is another drop off from #3 to #4. For the Hawks, they definitely want a wing to fall.

based on what? Reddish could be their guy if they are not concerned with his terrible production in college and are up for the challenge of developing his game , but I would not think anyone else would take him at 5 I mean Kevin Porter and Sekou Doumbouya have just as much upside and all 3 of them are being projected long after 5.

Maybe, but if NO seems to keep the pick and Hawks valued Hunter but Pels may want too much for the pick then that means it would be White/Garland/Reddish and Culver. If the Cavs are interested in moving back then they would be the best for asset heavy team to lock into their guy. If that is Culver or Cam, we don't know. Now clearly, Atlanta could sit at 8 and get Cam or Culver but if they want both, they will clearly have to move up and if Cleveland wants more assets, they will have to move back. It's all about what the team wants.

Atlanta can't trade up if the other team doesn't want to. Same for Cleveland or any team.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I think there is a better chance they pick Hunter. Reddish is more of an option if they trade down. That’s my take anyways...

Those guys are bigger projects than Reddish, who is 5th due to his own questions . Don't get fooled by the smoke. NBA drafts have pecking orders and this one is no different.

The nba doesn't have a value chart like the NFL. The value changes every draft and it can dramatically change from team to team.

I think the tiers in this draft are Zion then Morant/Barrett then Culver/Hunter/Reddish/White/Garland are in either one or two differnet tiers based on the teams. I think there is a pretty big drop in talent from #8 to #9. Then I could see another talent drop in the mid teens somewhere.

The Cavs would get assets for Love, but would have to take bad another bad contract in any deal. Right now, I think there’s a discrepancy between what they think he’s worth and what other teams are offering. The contract, along with his inability to stay healthy, both play into that

Clearly if Cleveland or any team moves back, they have a strong feeling that the players they can get at 10/17 can be better or as good as they could have gotten at at 5 otherwise they wouldn't do it.

Is removal of the top-10 protection for the pick next year in play, with this ATL trade discussion?
