Cleveland Cavaliers Summer League 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's raw. He can grow as a player. I just thought he would stand out more.

Yeah to that extent it's probably an expectations game. I didn't really love him at UNC so I am impressed--especially when there are hardly any other top rookies to even watch.

Watching UNC last year just made me sad that Nas Little wasn't better.

If Kyroe truly was such a massive bargaining, why didn't some other team swoop in and offer us 4 first round picks for him?

He had a list of demands and a list of teams that he wanted or had to issues going to, no?

I agree, he is no AD, but still, we did have all the leverage negotiating with Boston considering they had championship inspirations and their star player just came of a very big hip injury and they had to replace him with an equal or better player. I think it's fairly reasonable to expect at least another pick and/or a player like Jaylen Brown in that deal.

How can you give the Kyrie trade a pass after what we just saw this off-season. I don't care about it, but it was not a good trade. No way.
I do because once kyrie said trade me or i will have surgery it was over

AD and PG said trade me as well. AD sat out games.

Doesn't matter. It's not the place to talk about yet another Kyrie what ifs.

If we had gotten Luka from that trade you wouldn't say boo. It was Lebron being lazy and pouting that gave us Sexton, who I still like a lot.

Pelicans sat AD out games. AD didn't ask to sit them out. PG said trade me and it didntleak until after he was traded. PG is also a better player then Kyrie and the price the Clippers paid was for Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. No Kawhi without George so Clippers essentially paid for both.

As for the AD trade the picks were nice but the players the Pelicans got (Ingram, Ball, Hart) are nothing special. Ingram cant hit threes, Ball has been a mega flop and can't hit threes consistently or hit free throws, Hart is just another guy.

The Kyrie trade was done so we could still in theory compete and it backfired. But the trade has so far turned into Sexton, Nance, KPJ (The 2nds we used to get KPJ were from the Hill and Hood trades), a future first from Milwaukee, and other expirings we could flip for picks. Was the trade ideal? No. Was it a huge loss? No. Boston came out of it much worse then we did. Rozier took them further then Kyrie did.

The real harm from the trade was the timeline. It made us not a contender as soon as it happened despite the finals that LBJ single handedly got us to. That's it. The haul wasn't bad and if we win a Nets game we likely have Doncic.

I'm not worried about it. If they had held onto Kyrie, they could have traded him for Kawhi, but that is a total hindsight evaluation.

We weren't a contender with Irving. Unless one of Curry, Klay or Durant got hurt we wouldn't have won. LeBron was leaving with or without Irving if we didn't win the championship. Altman secured players that still fit in with win now and a pick to protect vs LeBron leaving. The players didn't workout but we got the same outcome with or without Irving losing in the finals.

Yeah I don't really disagree, but I think you would agree we got worse the second we traded Irving.

Thats what happens when you trade a superstar. No matter what. Pelicans and Thunder got worse the second they traded Anthony Davis and Paul George did they not? We got a first round pick + Win Now players vs just getting a rebuild oackage.

We have since turned the dead weight from the celtics trade into expirings, Future 1st, Kevin Porter Jr, Larry Nance Jr. This is the trade that will keep on giving until it doesn't. No one can argue that we made out better then Boston. Boston made it to the ECF with Irving hurt then got knocked out in round 2 with a healthy Irving who proceeded to walk away from Boston.

Pacers got better.

Pacers got better.

Rare exception where a career bust breaks out and turns into a star. Zero people thought Oladipo was good. He exploded onto the scene in Indiana. Ball or Ingram could explode in NO and make NO better. But the day the trade happened zero people though the Pacers got the better end of it.

Doesn't every team run 2 guards? Pg... Sg...

Anyway, a good little interview from DG.

I like Garland and Hachimura.
