Arizona for the Browns game in December

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chandler is a nice suburban area, but far Southeast to me. But if work and family is there, why would you want to live anywhere else.

Lee, where in Scottsdale do you live again?

For ya'll coming; everything here "seems" far because Phoenix Metro is like... maybe an hour and a half from one corner to the other.

Also, there was a question about tailgating; I think one of the SWBB locations here secured an entire lot on what would be the east side of SFS, closest to the road. Black lot, IIRC. On game day, just walk towards the stadium and you'll undoubtedly find it. Tailgating here (I speak from experience given my GF had season tickets and I went to 5 of 8 last year) isn't like the Muni Lot. It's a lot more reserved from Cards fan standpoint. Cards fans are really nice, won't really be confrontational to an away team unless said away team is incredibly awful (see the Seapigeons last year, was a total nightmare). It will, also, feel like a neutral site game.

Oh, that’s solid! You’re only about 30 minutes from me in central Mesa.

I try to stay out of the East and West valley. I have never lived in 17 years outside the 101 loop. lol.

Have you made it to Wrigley in Mesa yet? I would love to catch a game there, but they always sell out.

For those reading this but haven't been to Phx, Phx might be the most spread out city in the US. almost 5 million live here in the area now, but we don't build up, we build out. And every fucking city looks the same. I never understood how the commerce survives. With in a mile of my house I have 5 starbucks, 3 mcdonalds, 2 subways, 2 jimmy johns, 2 chase banks, 3, circle k's, 2 QT's, 5 car washes (4 of them a year old or less, this baffles me), 3 filbertos (local drunk 24 hour Mexican food), and 1 strip club, lol....the strip club makes sense.

I have; I’m about 15 from it just because it’s streets only. Cubs fans are awful, so.

And yeah; our metro area is... weird. We have five million, but the food scene doesn’t say five million. If y’all come out, let us know the area you are to get you an idea on what to eat that isnt an Ohio chain.

Dowtown Phoenix and Scottsdale both have a great food scene, anywhere else is touch and go but I do feel Chandler/Gilbert is improving.

We have drastically different opinions on what a great food scene is. Food here generally sucks in comparison to other cities this big.

We have a ton of hidden gems here, we are one of the most visited cities on DDD for example. We are around a top 10 food city, but cities like Vegas and New Orleans are smaller cities with incredible food scenes. but Scottsdale really has a great food scene. Issue is other parts of the valley don't compare, but that's part of the reason why Scottsdale is the biggest destination area in the valley.

Lots of fun places in Scottsdale, let me know if you need any help with things to do there
If there is one restaurant you would say is a can’t miss if you were in town for two days what would that be.

Price range? Location? Type of food?
Something unique to the area that is considered something you should not miss out on.For example here in Tampa, Berns is a place people visiting are are always directed to. Also assume price is not an issue.

Binkley’s If you can get a res. Assuming price is no option, of course, because you’re talking 200-ish a person. Probably the most exciting dining experience you’ll have here.

Berns was close to where my grandma lived, my dad is from Tampa

That said, Binkly's is really good, but Crazy expensive. If steak is what you want, Steak 44 is probably the best steakhouse in Phoenix right now. Both are great.

Have you eaten at any other molecular gastronomy style restaurants that you can compare it to? Trying to figure out if it's actually amazing, or just hopping on the trend. Jonathan Sawyer opened a place called Trentina over here and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

So, Binkley is multi-time James Beard. Every review I’ve seen is great. I personally have never been, simply because I can’t find someone to tag along.

It’s a really cool concept; lots of courses, all changing daily/weekly. He openly invites you to assist in the process, shows you how things work. It’s very much dinner and a show.
