Ok, I know I'll catch a little heat on this, but hear me out. Was listening to some 90s music and this One Week jam by Barenaked Ladies came on....and I listed to the flow....and the words...and I am telling you this song goes HARD. It pays tribute to artists that came before and listening now, it was WAY ahead of it's time and surely inspired future rappers, if not directly then indirectly. This dude is a damn pimp sex machine, ghosting on his GF and just laying pipe the whole song. He is doing drugs and not giving two fucks. This is so much better than any mumble rap today. The music has a lot of strings and horns, reminds me a lot of Wu-Tang and Rza's production with the musical layers. Just honestly listen to the song and read this... Let's dissect it, italics are mine.

Ok so look. Give this a listen. I am 100% telling you this goes hard, the flow is fire and has a rapid fire flow much better than most of today's hits. This is SO layered too. I hear Bone, Em, maybe some Kendrick, definitely Wu Tang, and given that these guys are Canadian, you KNOW Drake listened to this or heard it a lot and was influenced. Let me know what you think. This is kinda hard and deserves a shout out.
