Week 1: Browns vs. Titans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
17 penalties? Freddie Kitchens has to answer for that. The honeymoon sure didn’t last long.

18 penalties for 182 yards.

Its why we lost the game. Completely on Freddie, but holy shit that is epically bad.

You take away the ticky tack and questionable penalties by the refs and it's STILL wildly out of control.

That's all coaching. I lost count of how many holding penalties on both sides of the ball they were whistled for, and let's not even get into the personal fouls.

Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard both need to be on the next plane out of town.

It's like spotting your opponent 2 TDs and a FG, which is about how much we were down to start the 4th.

Extremely bad game, but IMO it's too early to go into panic mode. This is gonna hinge on if Freddie can light a fire under this teams ass and make them come out hot next week. Absolutely stupid and unnecessary penalties are what killed us today, the worst IMO is dumbass getting ejected for kicking to the face.

I’m not impressed with Freddie’s answers postgame. He said they’re not going to change anything as coaches regarding the penalties, downplaying everything saying it’s just one game, and shifting responsibility saying the blame belongs to everybody.

Not impressed at all. I mean I can agree that there is something to be said for it "being one game" and he doesn't want to induce a panic.

But you legit just saw you team commit more penalties than they have since 1951. That is coaching 101.

Freddie needs to fucking own his shit and quick.

We are Cleveland fans, it NEVER too early for panic mode :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

So what’s he supposed to say?

We coached players to get beat, react with a hold? To kick players in the face, to slap players, to hit players late?

I love blaming the coach. Jumping offsides, false starts, lining up wrong. But at some point, personal fouls and holding isn’t on the coach. Don’t get beat. Don’t lose your shit.

They walked in expecting this to be a face fucking of the Titans, and flopped completely, before reacting accordingly.

If we wanna blame him for hiring Steve (who was terrible in AZ for undisciplined bullshit), or for making this exhibition 5 even after the shit show in Tampa, cool. But what happens on the field on Sundays when you’re playing lazy and like shit isn’t on the coaches.

But it is though. Part of the coaches’ job is to train and prepare your players well enough so they DON’T make stupid mistakes like that. You absolutely can snuff stuff like this out in practice. Plenty of NFL teams do.

What we saw today is 80% piss poor execution and lack of in game adjustments and that is 80% on the coaches

One thing I know Greg Williams would of had this team much better prepared , but Dorsey don't want no top dog coach that totally knows his shit

Well you had me for the first part.

That second part though.......

Just really disappointing. After a hundred mind numbing press conferences about trust, consistency, accountability, etc. they have the nerve to come out like this. Not saying a win was expected but my lord, at least a better showing than this. The coaches aren't on the field. For whatever reason, these guys thought Tenn. were just gonna lie down for them. Talent on paper doesn't mean shit guys . . .

listen this will take some time....its a very new and different team...they need time to gel...give it time before we take out the pitchforks...very humbling but I still think we'll win a lot of games

No need to panic on the penalties even with how epically terrible it was, but I don’t think it’s too early to panic on the O-Line.

Looked worse than I could’ve imagined and all of our tackles are just bad. It took all camp to figure out who to put at RG and the backup tackles probably shouldn’t be in the league.

I’m seriously worried about our ability to keep Baker upright when we play any team that has anything resembling a decent pass rush. Titans are just a run-of-the-mill team and made our o-line look like a joke.
