RIP Fred McLeod

There's never going to be another announcer who says things like "Larry Hughes scores with another rubber rim job" or "Sasha Pavlovic is now entering to give Lebron a blow on the bench." I will miss him.

Fred invited me down to meet him, AC, and a bunch of players back in like 2011. Sent a tweet that I was heading to a game, ended up showing his DM to the attendants so I could get down there. Super cool guy at least from my limited interactions with him.
 
Wow this is shocking, RIP to Fred and condolences to his loved ones. The energy and excitement he provided while calling for championship contending teams or the worst team in the league was amazing to witness. I'm not looking forward to the season as much anymore because I'm dreading how I will absorb games without his voice and his passion
 
RIP indeed. What a great guy. I will truly miss Fred, and this is from a guy who was upset when he got the job over Reghi, but I ended up liking Fred more.

This absolutely ruined my entire week.

Fred better be in that Ring of Honor thing they’re doing this year. I grew up with him, AC, and Cavaliers basketball.

Fuck, I’m so sad.
 
And here i thought I was having a bad day having to get a water heater replaced and a blown out diaper thanks to my 7mo old.

But this is awful. Rest in Peace knowing that your voice brought joy and relief to thousands of fans. That video brings back so many emotions.
 
So sad to hear this. Just terrible news. Fred was a class guy. Will be hard to replace.
 
Loved listening to his post game locker room interviews after loses, because they were always rose tinted and would cheer me up. Rest in Peace.
