True that part is good, and I think to a certain extent playing against international competition in real games is probably better at getting him ready for the season than playing in pick up / un-official games. I just think there needs to be a limit on how much he plays in these scenarios. Especially when the other NBA players on his team aren't playing.
At the very least he was able to finish the tourney with a couple of strong games.
Yeah heavy minutes and every day etc. It's an interesting point. Some guys are given wide leeway, and then there is Z who wasn't allowed to play for his national team to many hurt feelings. Then there is Yao, whose career was almost assuredly cut short because of heavy minutes year round that China made him play.
Who else is not allowed to play internationally in recent years?
