Indians vs White Sox

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can't hate on them, this season was a waste, thanks to unfortunate injuries. If Tito made the playoffs, he's right up there for MoY.

There’s a lot to be excited about going into next season, and I look forward to discussing that with you guys in the coming days. However, these past two games, and especially tonight, are unacceptable. This team has come too far and has too much pride to get smacked around by the White Sox with a postseason berth at stake. Considering what they’ve overcome, winning at least 93 games is impressive, but that doesn’t excuse them from playing pitiful in a must win game.

This team is in position to win 90+ games and compete for the Central again next season but, sure, blow it up for no reason. Makes sense!
Yet, we have zero chance of winning the title the way this team is structured. That isn’t changing next year or the year after. Astros/Yankees/Dodgers are all in position for the foreseeable future. Sell our best pieces that won’t be apart of the team in 3 years and let’s retool this team. That’s the nature of the beast for the Indians and teams like us in small markets with little fan support/attendance.

Lindor is 0-8, 4 Ks, and 9 LOB in his last 8 ABs, being the leader he is and the 400 Million Dollar future player, I'm sure he'll say put the blame on him.

Watch him perform in this last series though.

So says you, the guy who forms his opinions listening to Colin Cowherd.

If you think this team doesn't have a chance to compete for a title next season, despite throwing out a pitching rotation of Clevinger, Bieber, healthy Carrasco, healthy Kluber, and any one of the promising young arms we saw down the stretch plus a lineup anchored by Lindor, Ramirez, Santana and Reyes, I don't know what to tell you. Yes, it's baseball and anything can happen, but this team is going to be competitive again in 2020.

I’ve never seen a fan base so eager to blow a team up. It’s honestly fascinating.
I chalk it up to the Browns not being as good out the gate as many anticipated, and it putting people on edge.

It’s baseball, all you can do is put yourself in a position to be a good team each year, and hope you get the right breaks along the way.

We were good this year, but haven’t caught any breaks. As I’ve been saying since the deadline, we’re in an even better position next year. Let’s hope we catch some better breaks.

With the current structure of the organization, there’s no reason to ever blow it up. Sure there might be seasons where we struggle and only win 80-something games, but the goal is to just keep yourself in the mix year in and year out.

I’ve said it before, but I look at the Cardinals as a comparable model. Good FO, and have weathered numerous personnel changes and losses over the last 20 years, but are always near the top of their division, and in the WC mix. They’re been doing it for 20 years, we’ve done it for 7.

We have a lot of good years to look forward to thanks to our current talent, and top notch front office.

That’s how I envision the team wants to operate. Why wouldn’t anyone want the team to be good for the next 20 years? It’s mind boggling.

Now, being continuously good like that is easier said than done, but I don’t see any reason to believe this organization can’t sustain success for many more years.

Never said it was going to be easy. But I agree, especially the way we’re churning out starting pitchers at the moment. That right there will make us competitive for the foreseeable future.

Who says no?

Gavin Lux, Keibert Ruiz, and Mitchell White for Francisco Lindor

I don’t form my opinion based of that show. Now, I may bring up his stupid takes, but I don’t agree with anything he’s said about the Browns and he doesn’t talk MLB or the Cavs.
I also didn’t say we wouldn’t be competitive, I said win a World Series.
If your happy with a wild card berth or a division title, then that’s cool. I just think we have the potential to upgrade our team for a few years down the road with the young arms in the prime with a few years under their belt and make another run.
I’m mainly speaking about trading Lindor and maybe Jose as those two are about the only ones with any true value.

Every season is different....

You can’t count on the fact that Bieber, Civale, Clevinger, Plesac will come anywhere near what they produced this year?

Bauer is a great example of this.

Nothing says the Indians can’t be 1st or 4th in the division next season...

I think the Tigers being an abomination and the Royals being terrible entering Year 2 of their rebuild says that the Indians can't be 4th next year

Clevinger and Bieber have certainly established themselves as very good to great starters.
