Of course, which is why it varies. I’ve been clear on this.Every season is different....
You can’t count on the fact that Bieber, Civale, Clevinger, Plesac will come anywhere near what they produced this year?
Bauer is a great example of this.
Nothing says the Indians can’t be 1st or 4th in the division next season...
Good god almighty stop the damn match. You sure changed your tone from a literal two weeks ago when you said this:
Winning over 90 games and not getting in was fine for you then. Now anybody defending a 93+ win team for having a good season is an apologist.
Quit embarrassing yourself, clown.
Now, being continuously good like that is easier said than done, but I don’t see any reason to believe this organization can’t sustain success for many more years.
I agree with the rest of your post but the blow it up truthers have been loud and proud since the Astros series last yearI chalk it up to the Browns not being as good out the gate as many anticipated, and it putting people on edge.
The Indians have probably a top two or top three front office (I think the A’s might have the edge by a razor thin margin) in all of baseball. It is absolutely feasible for this team to remain competitive for years to come, depending on the returns they can get for guys like Lindor, Kluber, and Ramirez (way further down the road, of course).
They continue to draft well and they typically manage to find a few solid contributors from the scrap heap every year. They obviously can’t contend every single year - the Yankees and the Astros are simply too good this year and probably for the next couple years - but there’s no reason they can’t continue to do the things that have helped sustain their run over the last five or so years, mainly the good drafting, trades, and being able to identify potential contributors for cheap in free agency or on the trade block.
Everyone else is an asshole, why can't I be one tooWhy does everyone on this board hate each other so much?
Outside of the Billy Beane and the movie, do you know anything about the A's front office?
Everyone else is an asshole, why can't I be one too
This isn’t the politics forum.I blame it on Trump.
Oakland putting up what is looking likely to be back-to-back 97+ win seasons behind subpar starting pitching is incredibly impressive. Especially last year when the AL West was stronger.
12 of 19 seasons with 88+ wins since 2000. Only 2 seasons with less than 74 wins
